With the expection of those that look like someone snatched down an errant living room curtain, I think that all of the knee-length skirts look rather smart, actually. When combined with tights and leggings, it certainly offers a valid alternative to pants for fall/winter wear. Now if they would only make the leap into the shops rather than simply remain runway fodder.

A lot of it looks like a circus parade -- and what's with all the hardware in the nose?

I have to agree that the first six were rather unisex skirts that could have been worn by either sex and ones ( at the right price ) I would consider buying. Numbers 10, 12 and 13 were possibilities. Number 14 is almost embarrassing. Otherwise, for me, the others were a definite no no. I also wondered about the advisability of the facial ironmongery. Rather detracted from the overall effect but then I'm not a fan of tattooing and piercings.

Some were very wearable, some flat outlandish, and a couple that would benefit from minor change. One looked like a dress instead of a skirt. It was realistic to consider except I hate horizontal stripes. I don't do the sports team look.
You don't get to judge me by your standards. I have to judge me by mine.

I liked the pleated skirts and the plain kilts. The ones worn with trousers looked totally ridiculous.

For me, the only one that couldn't be worn out at all was no.14, the black and orange outfit that partly resembled a dress.
The rest are do-able in some form; maybe not to our own particular taste, but they are all workable.
Don't forget, for some of these fashion shows we have previously commented that only 1 out of 15 was wearable; now we have 14 out of 15!
OK, the trousers and legwear on many of the models aren't what we may want, but I'll take that as a temporary measure if it helps to get men's skirts more widely accepted.

I think I'm with straightfairy on this. Many of the skirts are not to my taste, but most of them are actually wearable in the real world. The accessories are simply to make the pictures more striking and an attempt to get attention; there would be no compulsion to wear a nose ring with any of the skirts
.
I know many here like to stick to knee length ("it's just ore blokey"), but I actually quite liked some of the longer ones too. This one, effectively a long button fastened(?) kilt, caught my eye as wearable in a number of situations. It's good casually as shown, but would also work in a more dressed up assembly with shirt and tie or a jacket.
As SF noted, it is good to see a collection with only one really silly item in it; that feels like real progress, almost as if the designers want to sell some of these skirts rather than just make a runway splash to gain attention.
Have fun,
Ian.

Re: Skirts presented at Paris's Fashion week. What do you th
Sorry to put a downer on this happy thread, but those photos are not all from the same collection. The author of the blog has picked them out of several different collections, no doubt leaving out some that he didn't like.
That said, most of them would be perfectly OK to wear in the street. The bigs stars (seen on a footballer in thread I started in "In the news") and the wide blue stripes are a bit loud for my liking, but the basic idea is good. The long ones look fine to me as well. (I say this as a wearer of long skirts.)
The weird one, no 14 - is the man actually wearing that? To me it looks more like he is carrying a coat, and you can't see what he is wearing on his lower half.
