Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.

Nearly all the women turn up in their jeans, and when I remark upon that the usual response is "it's because they are more comfortable". (All except one whom I have never seen in trousers, and of course she wears skirts for the same reason.)
This is what baffles me! Women always seem to say jeans are more comfortable than a skirt. I simply cannot understand this. I have never found any trousers that are more comfortable than a skirt.
One needs to understand what "comfortable" means to different people.
At times, trousers are more comfortable for me, especially if I'm digging in the garden or standing outside in the wind. Trousers are certainly more comfortable when doing things that mght expose parts of oneself that one doesn't want exposed.
Right now it is hot and humid and the light little dress that I'm wearing more comfortable than trousers.
Give me trousers when the weather is frigid or I'm doing dirty work and skirts when the weather is melting.
Moderation is for monks. To enjoy life, take big bites.
