Skirts on Television
I just thought since I could not find any topics already on this subject that I would start one.
Other then TV shows that were placed in historical cultures that were know to wear skirts or dresses (I.E. Scottish, Japanese or Other), How many television shows have you seen that have showen a man in a skirt or dress?
I can name one that I have been watching called FarScape which is an Australasian Sci-Fi TV Show (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Farscape) and I noticed probably 70% of the males were wearing some sort of skirted garment plus not to mention the dreaded Skant that Star Trek fans hate to discuss. (The latest Star Trek movie should of brought back the Skant.)
J Greene
P.S. One interesting episode of FarScape featured a alien race where their females looked and talked like human males, So much like human males that one main character thought he was having some good male bonding time only to discover the alien wanted an inter-specie relationship. The males of the race were never seen but I wonder what they would look like? More Masculine or Feminine? I would hate to think I was hanging out with a female only for it to be a guy but I guess we face that threat these days anyways.

Re: Skirts on Television
I watch a lot of TV and unless it's specifically pointed out to be a "new thing or an Odd thing", mostly you see variations on utilikilt type stuff or parades etc. Unless it's a variation on some kind of Scottish kilt, I've never seen any show concerning actual "dresses" for men on a regular basis. I think we are going to have an easier time bringing variations of skirts to the men's clothing scene long before we see any kind of "dress" in that position. Too many people, including members of this site think of "dresses" as women's clothes with the various bumps and body shaping that most dresses have, whereas a skirt is very non-sexual with the long (100,000 years), caveman times and to the present, history of skirted garments on men.

I had to remove this signature as it was being used on Twitter. This is my OPINION, you NEEDN'T AGREE.
Story of Life, Perspire, Expire, Funeral Pyre!I've been skirted part time since 1972 and full time since 2005. http://skirts4men.myfreeforum.org/

SyFy's "Tin Man" -- 2007, this was an Oz sequel.. The wicked witch "Azkadellia" employed skirt wearing scientists in her labs. They looked like they were made of out pure vinyl, were about ankle length and yellowish in color if memory serves... So, just shows to go you, some guys get to wear skirts to work everyday so long as you work for the local wicked witch!
Pretty sure Ian Wallace was one of the skirt wearing dudes, here's a link: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2618223/resu ... e708119014
