Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.
I was watching an older "Dexter" episode on TV about an hour ago and Dexter was getting married, requiring Det. Morgan, his police sister to wear a dress for the first time for his wedding. (according to her) She normally wears denim trousers and a T-shirt. What made me laugh was her character made this statement..."My first time in 10 years wearing a dress, I feel like a transvestite!"
Rather a different perspective on clothing, I thought.
I had to remove this signature as it was being used on Twitter. This is my OPINION, you NEEDN'T AGREE.

Now what did I feel like the first time I wore my kilt, hmmm, lets see now Oh yes, I remember it well... I must have been about 6 years old and was a page boy at an Aunt's wedding. I felt like having some of that wedding cake and a glass of orange squash! Happy days.

In the 200,000 years that the humans of today have been evolving, men have spent over 99% of the time wearing skirts as the norm! 'Wear' are we going wrong?
