Re: Windows 11 and a new "experience" called Recall
It's interesting seeing what Microsoft is doing with their Recall project - all in the negative sense. While I will not use Windows and Ars Technica is providing additional information about Microsoft's Recall. https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2024/11/microsoft-delays-rollout-of-the-windows-11-recall...

Re: Windows 11 and a new "experience" called Recall
I came across a YouTube video a few days ago that describes how Recall is now required to use the new File Explorer in the 24H2 update for Windows 11. It is an interesting video:

I was unable to get the image below with this text built-in using Stable Diffusion XL:

Re: Bands and albums
The mainstream rock bands I really did not care for. Back in the day I enjoyed CW McCall's ballads, and country music in general. Of course, throwing in some classical, too. Later, I found that I liked what Enya produced and her music was very relaxing. I also found enjoyment with Clannad and Exposé...

Re: News sources
Thank you everyone for your replies. The additional sources are helpful and give me other places to look for news than my "default" choices.

Re: A bargain (of sorts) - tennis skort
Having some different fits vs sizing makes me wonder if they were made in different places. I've seen that happen with some other clothing (same item) that I've ordered before where one package was made in Vietnam and the other in Mexico.

Re: News sources
Thank you for all the feedback so far! It's nice to learn about new sources of credible information. Though I live in the U.S., are you aware if any of the UK or Australian radio stations transmit on shortwave frequencies so I can pick them up and listen to? When I think about it, asking about webpa...

News sources
Hello everyone, This topic has roots in the Trump was shot! thread. I have been getting my news from mainstream media via the Internet apps on my phone: BBC, CNN, APnews and FoxNews. Oh, and technology news site Ars Technica. Where do people usually get their news from? I was curious about non-biase...

Re: Windows 11 and a new "experience" called Recall
My isp ToS allows them to gather all sorts of metrics from my browsing habits and to share / sell them as they see fit. Not sure if running through a VPN will hide any of this? I've read that many GPS systems in cars (and, allegedly, Apple CarPlay / Google Maps on your phone) gather metrics about y...

Re: Becoming too obsessed
I can understand how this would be a bit frustrating and annoying. My greatest enemy is myself. Some things that I am learning about Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT) might be helpful: * Accept that you are feeling this way; however do so without judging yourself or others or placing blame * It is ...

Re: Loose skirt around the waist
It is not a zippered closure. I ended up using a safety pin for temporary use until I can get the skirt in front of a sewing machine.

I prefer my pie room temperature and my ice cream cold. Ice cream should be served and consumed frozen.
Go Vanilla, Go!
Using elastic via threading is a good idea, too. Thank you.

Thank you, Mouse. I'll look into using a wide belt and see what I can come up with via the North American Amazon site.

Loose skirt around the waist
Hello!
I have a midi skirt that almost fits me; however it is a bit loose around the waist. The skirt does not have belt loops.
What can I do to bring the waist in about an inch (2.5 cm)? Also, are there any temporary solutions?
Thank you!
