Re: Christmas Greeting 2021

Thought I'd submit this. Here's to all of you who like to raise a glass to friends & family at this time. It's been tough for us, but here's to that light at the end of the Covid tunnel. Tom Merry Christmas Tom, and of course to all at Skirt Café. I'll definitely be raising a glass (or two).......

Re: Another Daily Mail rant

Couldn't find a story so had to create one, it seems to me. It's really unclear what she's even complaining about. If the men had been 5'8" would she have been ok with that? Was she unhappy that a man wanted to wear the same top she had chosen? It's just a nonsensical article designed to stir p...

Re: gender-inclusive skirt

I like the plaid one. Sensibly priced too! I also noticed that the unisex section is nice and colourful, not like the typical drab "gender neutral" colours that we've seen in the past.

Re: Halloween

Nothing planned for this year, but here's an outfit I wore a few years ago to the charity shop where I was volunteering:

Actually, just found another from a different year where I was playing pool on Halloween:

Re: Skirts on the F1 Grid?

I wasn't able to find it on the Burberry site, but they do have men in dresses and also kilts like this one: https://uk.burberry.com/leather-trim-check-cotton-kilt-p80428171 ] From the front I think it looks quite skirt like as they have put the buckles so far back. The rear is pleated and more trad...

Re: How long have you been at Skirt Cafe' ?

According to my profile, six years ago in 10 days time. I do remember Tom's Cafe, and I certainly remember reading Skirt Cafe for longer than six years, although not sure if I had an account before that or just read the public threads. Anyway, my skirt wearing dates back more than 20 years, with ver...

Re: How the length of a skirt can inhibit learning?

The clue should probably be in the name, it's a school UNIFORM!!! Whilst one might argue about how restrictive or not a uniform should be, whether boys can wear skirts etc., surely schools need to be able to, and probably should, enforce the rules they do have. Otherwise the idea of a uniform risks ...

Re: Pressing the "HOT" button

Some valid points in there Moon. I cannot see why people are against healthcare. On the subject of voting, I vote to look after other people. Whoever is in power it's unlikely to make a significant difference to my life. A few quid more or a few quid less; it doesn't matter. What I am concerned abou...

Re: Rethinking Lingerie....

I am glad there is agreement on people not having to justify what they wear :-) In response to Ralph asking about bralettes, well, going by the British definition (apparently), that is, a tight-fitting crop top with thin straps, then I do find them useful for wearing under a top that I feel the 'V' ...

My instant reaction is that tucked in looks like you are going to work, out you look more relaxed (plus you have less creases).

Re: Covid 19

I am a bit cautious that there is under-reporting of the prevalence side effects. This is based on friends of people I know having dropped dead or ending up in hospital within days of having the vaccine. One was aged 35 and another was 46, although the others were over 70 and over 80. I realise that...
