Re: Sightings "in the wild"

I've been seeing a man in skirts around here a lot this summer. ME! I almost never wear pants/jeans anymore. Other than a few evil eyes from a few people I've gotten no negative feedback at all. If you act no differently than when dressed in pants most people will hardly notice and won't say anythin...

Re: "Comebacks" for remarks made at your Unbifurcated

I'm prone to say things like..... I wear a skirt because I don't want to look like you. ...because they're very comfy ...because I want to. No, my mom didn't dress me. Who dressed you? ...skirts are cheaper than kilts. Would you tell a Roman soldier he's not a man because he wears a skirt. If you ha...

Re: Boots

If you're looking for a place to buy large size women's boots, I get mine at either WalMart od Payless. they generally keep sizes up to 11 in stock and sometimes 12s and 13s.

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

Well guys, I'm to the point where I almost never wear pants anymore. Skirts are addictively comfortable and I'm hooked. I.ve even started wearing high heeled boots, (2 - 3 inch heels), with my skirts because I think skirts look much better that way and winter is coming on here. Been wearing skirts a...

Re: What makes a 'real man'?

In my humble opinion, part of being a "real man" is the conscious decision to set your own standards in every aspect of your own life rather than blindly adhering to what society dictates and that incudes how you decide to dress yourself.

Re: Do folks notice or not?

It just occurred to me as I sit here that I don't often notice if others notice I'm wearing skirts or not. To be truthful, I've never been a follower of fashion and don't much care what people think of me or what I wear. My attitude is, "If you don't like how I look, don't look at me".

Re: Dress Code Problems

There's a girl where I work. I otherwise get on with her very well but she acts like the above. She met an apparently good looking bloke in a bar a while back and initially accepted his offer of a drink. But before he managed to pay for it she noticed him pull a leather wallet from his pocket and f...

Re: Summer dress?

I like cotton crinkle sun dresses. My wife bought me one in turquoise and for herself bought a coral one. Later I bought two additional ones, one in lavender and the other one in lime green. We got them from Amerimark at reduced prices. I wear them around the house and to take out trash. I am not s...

Re: Dress Code Problems

One of the waitresses at a restaurant I worked at knew I like to wear dresses and wanted to see me in one so I went there for dinner one evening. As my luck would have it, one of the owners brought his family in for dinner that night. I was politely asked to refrain from doing it again on the ground...

Re: The "crazy" Russian in dresses and skirts

Back on topic. I agree that he did take it too far when he stripped down. That was inappropriate and only had a negative effect on his position and cause. I do, however admire his courage to stand up for what he believes in. I think we all agree with him in that regard. I was going to post on the si...

Re: Summer dress?

To determine your dress size I think you first should to measure your chest at what would be your "bra strap line" then I would go to most any dress retailer's website and look for "size charts" and check the bust sizes. The real trick then is to find dresses that are made for wo...
