Re: Sightings "in the wild"

June 21st 2009
I was walking over the Hungerford Bridge in London. There was a man playing bagpipes in a kilt (in itself not particularly notable) but walking towards me was a man in a plain black casual looking kilt.

Re: Guy In Camden

I've been through Camden in a skirt but FLIP FLOPS this time of year?
The weather is getting too unpredictable at the moment for bare feet.

I shall keep my eyes peeled as I pop through there occasionally.

Re: What’s The Most You’ve Spent On Fashion

not sure if you'd call it fashion but I spent about £400 (at current poor exchange rate that's $12) on a dry suit. It's nice not to freeze your ***s off diving in the UK.

I've paid a couple of hundred for a good pair of shoes that have lasted years, and about the same for a clan kilt recently.

Re: Straight Kilts

Good idea Skip! While thinking of unconventional kilts, has anyone had any dealings with "Stealth Kilts"? Once I found them on't nt I thought it was a great idea and I am tempted, if they go large enough for me. http://www.mranubis.co.uk/casual-stealth-kilt.aspx if you are curious. I've g...

Re: Temperature regulation and skirts vs. trousers

I don't really notice it myself, but then again, I usually wear shorts, if I'm trousered, no matter what the weather is. -J I'm with you on this one. I tend to wear shorts all weekend as i'm involved with playing and coaching sport a lot. To and from work and round London i wear a kilt with no prob...

Re: More Emoticons (Smileys)

call me sad if you like but this has cheered up my day: When editing a posting, open up the "view more smileys" window. Now resize it by widening and narrowing it and the smileys rush around the screen in a very manic manner. This certainly cheered up an otherwise hectic and depressing mor...

Re: The rate at which this moves

I agree with since1982 on this. You can go at your own rate. I am fortunate to live in a society that doesn't seem to mind my kilt/skirt wearing in general. I have been wearing a kilt to work each day for the last couple of months. No one seems to care one way or the other. I notice the occasional r...

Re: No Pants Day = Skirt Day

Since1982, that was a particularly harsh comment. In the Netherlands I suspect the event is practically unheard of, as is the case in the UK. The general public will probably not even know about no pants day so unless there is a poster campaign or some other visible reminder, they will not have a cl...

If you don't live life with a smile on your face and see a little humour in things it would be very sad indeed.

Re: The Unfortunate Necessary Visit

I had almost managed to block out the traumatic memory of the automatic flushers! The moment you move back too far you know you're in for a cold shock. Back on the subject of French Toilets after my last posting (I promise this is the last) My sister ran out of the toilet screaming when she went to ...

Re: The Unfortunate Necessary Visit

I expect the only ones who really don't give a hoot how, are the rough and rugged kilt wearers without underpants on. or maybe French men, as they are used to the strange stand up toilets. :( :( :( :? which I just do not understand how to use  :( :? Many years ago I was...

Re: Any bad vibes in public ???

I took a long bike trip to a small town in central Ohio Sunday. Stopped into "Lulu's" restaurant for lunch. I was dressed in my bright yellow / gold bike shirt, white shorts, sandals and topped off with a bike helmet. There was a group of 6 "Bubba's" sitting at one of the tables...
