Re: very short shorts
Many years ago there was an online vendor named International Male. They had very short denim shorts. They also had a leather one made from the same design. I would wear those all the time in the summer for casual wear. Even when short shorts went out of style I was still wearing them in the 90's an...

Re: It’s A Kilt
That brings up a question. Let's say the statement on the t-shirt is true. Given that, if I am wearing a skirt and I have something under it then it is a skirt. If I have nothing under does that make the skirt a kilt? Asking for a friend......

Re: Knee socks with skirt
I wear knee socks with skirts. The most common for me to wear are from Goldtoe. I wear the heavier athletic style in black. They only come in white, black and I now see gray on Amazon. They make a thinner version which I don't care for. I also wear them with kilts when I don't want to wear the more ...

Re: Making dresses for male proportions - it is easier than you may think
Another option is to convert a pair of men's jeans into a skirt. Easy to do. There are videos on YouTube showing that conversion. The first skirt I made was from an old pair of jeans. I was in high school at the time. Well before YouTube to show me how. Just had to figure it out myself. Hand sewn as...

Re: Tom Manuel of TomsCafe, died 20 years ago today.
I was on TomsCafe in the early days. I did not post much as I was not in a position to wear skirts or kilts because of a non-accepting spouse. The Cafe helped me to know I was not the only guy that thought skirts should be part of our wardrobe too. Around 2010 I was in a position where I could take ...

Re: Converse are making Knee boots again
They show in-stock on the USA web site. I had to look under "women" to find them. Listed there as "unisex". Comments recommend down sizing 1/2 size. For me I normally wear a US men's 9.5. So I would have to order a size 9 which is US women size 11. I have two knee high boots in w...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"
I wear a skirt or kilt every day every where. I have never been asked about pronouns or called ma'am. I believe that is because I act like a man. Send out I'm a man signals. More men aren't wearing kilts or skirts because they fear criticism or are conformists to societies rules. you need to be a s...

Re: kilt with knee high boots?
Knee-high boots work great with kilts. I wear them in the winter. My boots have a low heel. Finding knee-highs for guys is a problem. The best I could do is go with a woman's size 11. I wear a man's size 9 or 9.5 (US). Add two to convert to women's sizes. Size 11 is about as large as you can find. I...
Re: AI Sucks
Good case of "garbage in - garbage out". There lies the problem. AI learns by scraping the internet. False information becomes the truth as far as AI is concerned. The old saying "tell a lie enough times it becomes fact"

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large
I wear kilts most of the time no matter where I am going. When wearing skirts I was more selective. Never near home and locations were carefully selected. Last year I threw that out the door. Went with a "I don't care" attitude. Somewhat selective on where I go but for the most part all is...

Re: kilt wearing
I wear kilts all year round, and it is in no way cold- Mostly it is with bare knees. But if I get tired of questions whether it is not cold, I might wear tights. https://up.picr.de/45228393ap.jpg https://up.picr.de/45228391wc.jpg I wear kilts all year too. Most of the time outdoors in the winter I ...

Re: bike riding
I should try that idea. I have a EZ-Sun bike that is a recumbent design. Legs are more forward than a standard road bike. I tried riding wearing a Utilikilt. The wind just pushed the material up to my hips.

Re: Kilting Diversity
For those that don't like the word "skirt" when talking about a man in such a garment can use the term "MUG". Stands for "Men's Unbifurcated Garment". I don't have any issue with the term "skirt" when I wear one. A kilt is an unbifercated garment, so is a skir...

Re: Gender Neutral Fashion is failing skirt-wearing boys
A lady friend of mine is a seamstress. I overheard a conversation she was having with another seamstress. I was not part of the conversation so I did not butt in. They were talking about what they wanted to sew in 2024. My friend indicated she wanted to try designing and sew "gender neutral&quo...
