I'm VERY glad I have some fleece-lined tights.

Really needed them these past few days.

Yes they make cold weather skirting totally possible.

They also allow you to wear short and light skirts in the middle of winter where the skirt is just adding fun and colour while the tights look after the weather and temperature.

Those tights look very comfortable and I am thinking of buying a pair.

I recently bought a pair of body sensor 30 denier tights from M&S which apparently are designed to make legs warm in cold weather and leg cool in warm weather. I tried them and they do work. The are available in 40 and 60 denier too. I bought them in 30 denier becasue I love the sheer transparent look.

I have the 200 denier, or higher, to hide the scars from cellulitis that
started to eat the layers of skin from my legs.

From what I’ve read cellulitis sounds very painful. What medication did you take from it? I get pain in my legs but it’s a different pain as its sciatica. Wearing tights helps with that and walking a lot.

The Wound Treatment Center Doctor used some kind of dressing that was
yellow in color, quite damp with medication. That was in 2018 and I don't
remember the name of the medication.

I'm not trying to gross anyone out but Cellulitis is, or can be, devastating.

My right leg was worse but healed better than my left leg.

An organist friend, on Facebook, lost his right foot to Cellulitis. He has trouble
with the expression shoes(volume controls) but is still able to play pedal notes.

May I emphasize the importance of listening to your body, getting help without
thinking you can "Man-Up/Suck-it-up" and get through this on your own :!: :!:

I was fortunate as I didn't lose any limbs to this disease.

Mrs Mouse has had a number of episodes of Cellulitis in her lower legs. For the last few years she has not had another flare up, but yes it is not a nice condition and flare ups happen so fast.

I also have 200 denier tights, a must for jaunting in the Northeast of the U.S. in winter!

I'm really getting on board with the skirt + thermal/fleece tights combo this winter! It's warm and comfortable, and I can even get away with a slightly shorter skirt or women's kilt.

The difficult part is finding brands without a center seam in front, it's not comfortable/aesthetic.

A few years ago these would have been heaven but as a menopausal woman, they sound like instruments of torture.

I've practically lived in mine for the last two months. I have several pairs. They are a lot warmer than long Johns and trousers even before adding a skirt. I do prefer under the knee skirts now that the temperature heads towards -25°c. And a the thermal skirt i got for christmas is superb too!

I've never, NEVER found P-hose/tights without a center-front seam.
If they have an 'expansion panel' in the back, no designed in foot/heel combo,
just wear them with 'the panel' in the front. Otherwise, these G & Y fleece-lined
tights, having an expansion panel, can be worn either way. The front seam comes
down to (about) 2 inches above 'the equipment', then attaches to 'the panel'.
Very comfortable.
Originally, tights were 'invented' for Ballet, to keep hose up without using a garter belt.
They weren't designed to be worn without 'undies'. Later, after much customer
feed-back(complaints), a 'comfort panel' was added to the tights/P-hose.

( If in doubt, wear a panty under the tights. The panty helps to block the potential
irritation from the front seam. )

I've ordered 2 more pairs of these tights. They should arrive in about 10 days (+/-).
Then I'll have 4 fleece-tights options :D

I've found some athletic ones for men that have a sort of inverted trapezoid or angled seaming in front that avoids the dreaded center seam. Not that fancy I suppose but I'm usually dressed very casually anyway.

I have always hated the feel of the tights material on my equipment, so I always do what Uncle Al suggests.
