would you wear these sci-fi unisex dresses?

Discussion of fashion elements and looks that are traditionally considered somewhat "femme" but are presented in a masculine context. This is NOT about transvestism or crossdressing.

I'm considering making one as a summer outfit.

They do look comfy, would probably be great in linen!

With the rope slightly lower (than my not-so-big-but-still-big belly): yes I could consider it (if stride is big enough)

I'd wear one. I have already worn something similar.

Yes. Interesting the difference in position of the waist ties on the males and females. Anatomically based or not?

I see nothing sci-fi about these dresses. They seem perfectly ordinary summer dresses that look very comfortable in warm weather. I already have several like this including a coupe in linen.

I would wear one, but I would like one in a brighter colour. May be a deep purple?

Pretty sure that you already know this Rivegauche, but the clip comes from the 1960 film, The Time Machine, based on the novel of the same name by H G Wells, written in 1895.
Early science fiction one might say, and given the date of the movie, very early for agender clothing.
I'm not sure how old I was when I saw it for the first time, but they always struck me as "Roman" or neo-classical, I would call it now.
Could have been the mid sixties because we did a Roman occupation project around P5/6.
Historic rather than futuristic is my take anyway.
I cannot remember coveting one back then either, light cotton dresses in pastel shades or a tee-shirt with skirt or shorts were the girls' summer staples.
Boys had jeans or khaki shorts with a tee or actual short sleeve shirt, white or blue and all very boring too.
Steve.
