The unnecessary concepts of masculinity and femininity. People could just be themselves without ridiculous stereotypes.

Pants.
Then people like Dennis would be OK in a skirt ......... oops, imagine that women would have to go back to skirts and dresses .......... they would not be happy.

The stereo-typical stigma associated with men wearing skirts.

If we were limited to one thing, I would not put skirt freedom at the top of the list. It rather pales into insignificance compared with people killing each other, people trafficking, organised crime, slavery - the list goes on.

Religion (not to be confused with a belief in God). It is the, or a major, cause of many of the world’s ills.

Agree !
FOOTBALL
The American version - the ball kicked on kick-off and the extra point attempt -
otherwise the ball is handled by hand -
so much for the foot-ball-work !
The other TRUE - Football - Soccer - the ball is kicked about until scoring a goal in a net -
only the goal keeper has the use of hands option to ward off this scoring into the net and returning the ball into play.
So what part of Football Soccer is not fully understood ?
???
Oh and why aren't skirts worn as the uniform part of the activity ?
"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

Religion is a good one.
I’m tempted to say guns.
However, I think religion gets my vote.

I have to flip a coin on this one (remember coins?)
Heads - the corporate and sovereign corruption that is intrinsic to the global fossil fuel extraction and distribution system
Tails - all incentives (is that more than one thing?) that encourage print, broadcasting, social media, cable, and other media in the public square to treat news as entertainment instead of education

Re: If you could eliminate one thing in the world, what would it be?
I meant the thread as something lighthearted but it turned into something a bit deeper.
So here's my serious take on the subject;
We all start start out female in the womb. Man is formed from the woman,.we are formed from
women but we are men. I would like to see a world where men sit and laugh with women without all this masculine / feminine nonsense. We are the same.
I've been wearing skirts for one and half years now. A new (old) skirt arrived today. My daughter and I talked about maybe dyeing it because it looked like something the Pope might wear. My wife said it's got that 1980's old lady look. She's not wrong it's one for the charity shop.
I've gone from homophobic to family harmony.
That's what the world needs: harmony. So eliminate disharmony. Skirts can go a long way to finding harmony because it's hard to be macho in a skirt but you can be husband and a father.

Fully agree Barleymower.
If I had to choose only one then it would be clothing - freedom of choice, expression and individuality for all.
Having said that I could happily be without people! They are the route of all problems via religion, politics, bigotry, hypocrisy... Then I would not be here so that is a bit drastic! Will need to find away to to achieve Barleymowers choice, harmony, that will, hopefully deal with society and people.

If I could I would eliminate suffering.
