It focuses on the runway - which, well, is never going to go "mainstream". And yeah, this is one of those articles, "The time has arrived for men's _______" which is repeated year after year. I though the only interesting "take" was recognizing men's athleisure wear as a trend.

It spends a lot of time on tights, but at the end of the article I was confused what the article was trying to say.

The clue is in the closing line about NY Jets quarterback Joe Namath in 1974's famous TV commercial where he appeared in pantyhose and proffered the delightful line of, "If these can make
my legs look good, imagine what they can do for
yours!" The advert, of course, was aimed at women, but here was (for all we know) a heternormative "man's man" wearing legwear. It caused a mild uproar at the time.
I'd call the tone positive overall.

As a man who dislikes socks, wearing skirts has allowed me to use all manner of hosiery from thick tights in winter to 15d stockings in summer. I have also discovered that I have nice legs...or so I have been told by various random women, over the past few years that I have been wearing hosiery.
I was unsure what the designers were trying to do with the models on show. One picture had the model wearing a skirt which was reasonable. The rest of the pictures, the models either had underwear on show or hidden with jacket which looked like something was missing.
By the way james68, welcome to the cafe as this is your first post. Please feel free to post more, we are a friendly bunch of skirt wearing men.

Here.
My wife is green with envy when it comes to me in tights. She so wishes that she had legs like mine.
There's always one in the comments, isn't there
