Doesn't say much about skirts in the text, but includes photos of skirted looks.

But they talk about a dhoti. Which I had no idea what that was until I looked it up to find that appears to be a skirt for Hindu men.
So maybe men will be more apt to wear a dhoti?

I would like to read the article but I won't create an account
with the NYT's just to read one article
Neither do I have one - if you search google for the title of the article, or the URL, it might let you read it if you click the link. IMHO, the text doesn't say much, but there are photos.

I think this is an important quote for men thinking about wearing skirts or dresses:
“I used to be inhibited about what I wore,” Mr. Singh said. “I kept my head down because I felt people were staring. Then I realized I don’t know what’s in people’s minds, and I started to dress for myself. A question I always ask people is, ‘If today were your last day on earth, what would you wear?’ Dress like that.”

As no one rightly knows when that "final" day will dawn, every one of them should be treated accordingly and not just in a fashion sense either.
