“I’m happy that men are more accepting of skirts and being open to more ideas. It’s such an inspiring time,” Browne told Vanity Fair at his fall 2022 runway presentation in New York on Friday evening. “I think it’s important to remember—whether it’s a skirt or whatever it is—if you want to wear it, why not? You should just do it regardless of what anybody thinks. That’s really the message of tonight’s show. It’s just being true to yourself and being confident in just being your own self. It is easier said than done, but it’s important that you eventually, in your life, do find yourself.”

Okay, that's one of the better articles on men's skirts I've seen. Generally positive, but balanced, and without making it about sexuality. The pictures didn't show any of the reasonable skirt outfits they were talking about, however...
Thanks for posting, Coder!

My $0.02 worth of what I gleaned from the article......
Here's an actor who speaks, and knows, his mind set......
David Harbour, the actor from Stranger Things and Black Widow wrote: “It’s just fun to wear a skirt,” said Harbour while sitting front row at Friday’s presentation.
“It’s comfortable, and I don’t feel weird wearing one. At the beginning of the press tour for
Black Widow, before the pandemic, the first thing I told my stylist was that I’d love to wear
a skirt. I’d love to wear something where my legs are free and have some more creative
expression in what I wear. For men, it’s so often suits. That’s what you are put in for everything,
so I just love the freedom of creative expression."
"I think men should have more fun with their clothes, and wearing a skirt offers me that.”
(The underlined and bold type is my emphasis, not the original writer of the article)
He is one of the few 'actors' that is helping to 'sell-the-idea' that
it's OK for men to wear skirts

Brief moment of nostalgia...I recall the misfit toys, a misfit reindeer, and the abominable snowman.
I am cautiously optimistic. However, while the man's skirt looks plausible, the skirt-over-slacks combination is a crutch.

Great film. Nostalgia for sure. But I think saying this is anything to do with it is a stretch...

Yeah, it is a crutch for sure. But remember, the fashionistas don't care about comfort, just looks. Or maybe just being "in" on the latest thing. They look ridiculous.

Yeah, and the fashion designers don't care about practicality, either. I don't think it a coincidence that the one thing I have seen gain traction is utility kilts.

And it had very little to do with fashion designers....

Sure and I will just as soon as I can arrange a new mortgage on the house to buy it.
Oh my, do you not feel the elegance and sophistry .................?
I will also order one in a French theme to wear on the 14th July.

Yes RM described as "inappropriate", and I dare say that is how some folks see me too.
The judgemental flavour of this crap just shows the gospel according to Browne has still a long long way to go.

It was the third image that caused me to laugh. The two previous images just didn't prepare me for it.
