Another school uniform protest this time in Spain.

We'll have to see whether they keep this up. As the theologian Sam Wells says, there is a big difference between being For someone and being With them

Great. They might think "gee, these feel great to wear" and be hooked.

“La ropa no tiene género.... cualquiera puede vestirse como quiera”
The Canadian school that wore skirts to breakdown stereotypes too:

Most of the young really don't care. It's refreshing.

The youngsters do care a lot, they just know better what is important to care about.
The hope will lie with these kids and many like them.
That will apply to a hell of a lot more than men in skirts too.
Steve.

Sorry, perhaps badly worded on my part.... I was talking in relation to clothing, i.e. they really don't care what people wear. I see them shopping from whatever clothing rack in the charity shops. That's why I said it was refreshing. I wasn't knocking the youth of today in any sense.
Yes, change will come from the young. I feel sure of this. They are far more aware, for example environmentally. I believe it will be positive.

In addition to shopping for skirted clothing from either a department or charity store their "youth" sizing will offer more opportunities to find
clothing that fits and looks good - as - opposed to like myself having to shop the limited selection of Oman the tent maker.

I shop at Woman Within.com... They have some very nice clothing for the larger of us. I shop there all of the time and spend lots of money there. They have sizes up to 6X, the prices are very reasonable too..

I wasn't picking on what you said.
I had a delightful chat with a young girl, about 20 to my 62.
That kid was more aware and mature in her outlook than many of her "elders and betters" of my acquaintance.
Her only comment about my skirt was essentially that it didn't actually matter.
The wonderful thing is that she is not alone in this attitude and therein lies our best hope for the future.
BTW she had on the uniform of the young, jeans and a tee shirt but her tattoos were very unique.
Steve.

Sadly, tattoos have become part of "uniform" now. Try finding a woman without at least one...
