Goes to show grass is greener on the other side of the fence. Interesting where she said she ditched her bra. I find it uncomfortable to drive or ride in a vehicle without a bra with the jouncing, but my cup size is DD instead of D.

If a woman wants to wear men's clothes that seems to be fine with society. If only men had the freedom to wear women's clothes.

Such irony-I have thought women in an enviable position because they aren't stuck in the boring same old/same old.

I find these last statements quite refreshing.

I won’t stop until I spread the message. We have choices, men and women. Gendering
clothes is ridiculous, unnecessary and totally damaging. I refuse to be complicit in it.

I fully support the author in her endeavor to "Spread the word".

I didn't get the impression the author is a man-hater nor that she was whining.

I'll have to check out the Kipper's Clothier's she mentioned. (It turned out to be a site for custom-made clothing. Not in my budget nor interest.)

I'd love to know where that school teacher mentioned in the comments lives. His experience sure doesn't match mine!

Interesting that no one has really pulled off the correct synergy of the two spheres. Simple things like womens slacks and skirts with REAL pockets, Torsos that are long enough. . .Practical matters all!

This has been done in the past, and occasionally happens to this day. Many of my late ex's skirts had fully-functional pockets -- including a couple of exquisite silk skirts -- and one of my short skirts that's only a few years old has functional pockets. If I'm going to wear trousers, I'll go the "male drab" route because usually when I do it's because I'm either trying to disappear or I'm doing something that'd likely damage my good stuff.

On torsos, that's a spot where there can be dramatic differences between men and women because men are typically taller than women by a fairly decent margin. For instance, what would be a waist-length shirt on me would be close to tunic-length on a 5'6" woman and a tunic on me would be a dress on her. There's also the matter of shoulders; I get to wear a 3X (roughly a 22 I believe) in blouses whereas I'm a 14 in skirt size. A man's dress would have to be quite differently constructed than a woman's one, especially if the man is outside the normal variation for height.

Of the skirts from ShukrClothing most have pockets, and when they have pockets they are functional. The corduroy skirt pictured recently has to front pockets that easily fit a wallet and mobile phone as well as having a coin pocket.
