Mother's horrific game

Post by Sinned »

I came across this entry and I have to admit that this horrified me. It's all very well for boys to wear some or all girl's clothes when they have instigated the desire but for a mother to openly admit to forcing her son initially to wear girl's clothes is nothing short of criminal.

Since we cannot be sure of the author's sex or gender, I'm tempted to posit that this is probably a flight of fantasy.

"Humiliation" of boys by being forced to wear "girls'" clothes seems to be a common thread (viz "petticoat punishment") -- but it fails at a number of levels. It's deeply denigrating to women as it forcefully characterizes them as not being worthy of emulation (at any level), and, as sinned points up, not only borders on abuse but actually crosses the line of psychological warfare. I cannot fathom any mother who would behave in such a manner as it'd go against her own interests to produce a stable, well-adjusted, adult once the child-rearing stage is over.

After reading the original post, I looked at several follow ups.
This one tends to make me believe that all is well and the lad
will be a 'convert' at an early age. I hope he continues wearing
skirts & kilts. :D

To this (admittedly rather cynical) reader it still smacks of fantasy, even on a re-read. To crib a line, "Something is rotten in Denmark."

You can tell a lot from the "reasoning" displayed in it. It is purely fantasy, written by confused men.

It did occur to me that it may be a fantasy but if real then my opinion stands. I'm glad that others agree with me if real. Thanks for your comments.

I agree with this, (that the 'petticoat punishment' is bad) as it reinforces the old fashioned denigration of women, as mentioned above, and is also discriminatory against boys. Does the mother make her daughter dress as a boy when she misbehaves? Somehow, I think not..

The whole thing sounds made up. But I'm not surprised there were so many replies from people willing to believe 'his' fantasy. I say 'his' because most likely it is a guy who wrote it, probably the same as the 'Elane' character eluded to.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is fiction.

This kind of story is actually pretty common on transvestite / cross-dressing boards.

One might theorize that the transvestite / cross-dressing readers are afraid or ashamed to wear women's clothes, despite their desire to do so, and so they invent a fantasy where the wife or mother or whoever forces them to do it.

There is enough anecdotal evidence to suggest that enforced "feminisation" did, and maybe still does, actually occur.
However, I'd doubt that any "real" survivors of this particular form of "parenting" would have a healthy attitude to men in skirts or to women for that matter.
Some may fantasise but I would doubt that they'd have enjoyed the reality.
Some kids grow up "whole" in spite of their parents and all power to them.

Television stations here came under a lot of criticism for continuing The Ellen DeGeneres Show after DeGeneres came out as lesbian.

Asked about it, she remarked, "Well, I grew up watching straight television and apparently it didn't affect me."

In this, and probably in many other areas, our brains are hard-wired more than we like to think.
