FYI -

Tomorrow (April 06 2011) unless you are across the date line is "NATIONAL TARTAN DAY" in the USA.
You don't have to be Scottish; Irish; a member of a clan or fraternity or even a resident of the USA to
celebrate this not so promoted 'Holiday' of sorts.
Think of it as an extension of St. Pat's day only you don't have to wear the obligatory 'Green' or even
be green with envy.
Just get out and about and have a good time !

Co-incidentally, these pics. were taken on April 6th, which was a glorious day here with afternoon temp. at 22 deg. Celsius.
I played around kilted in the garden, just enjoying the day.
Pic.1 has a bare tree at left , so it's early April, almost no blooms or colour in the glasshouse which testifies to great loss of pelargoniums &c during our very severe Winter, and open thermostatic ventilation frames which say it's hot, for the first time in 2011, with the promise of recovery.

Pics 2 & 3, I played with my best friend Benjy on the lawn and I fed the young donkeys in the front field. Nice Day !

Ian,
It just occurs to me that it looks as though the fountain is spraying right up inside where it shouldn't!!!

Funny that. It's recirculated pond water of course, and none too warm this time of year!

I marched with my Scottish Country Dance group up 6th Ave in NYC in my clan kilt. We ever went through our dance routine near the reviewing stand and whenever the group ahead of us paused for a traffic light. On 6th Ave pants wearers looked strange! While in a deli I got complements from a waitress. Finally back to rural New England where I rarely get complements.
