I find nothing offensive in the picture, but why do people still bleat on about how bad a man in a skirt looks? When will these people ever start using their brains and think independently?

I'd not expect an outbreak of open or intelligent discussion in the Twitter zone anytime soon. Folks with 140 character limits to their communications are unlikely to develop interesting or complex ideas.

Have fun,

Skirt - NO !
Kilt - YES !

Where ever did the @&%$#s ! come up with the idea that the man pictured was wearing a skirt ?
Technically a kilt is a skirt - BUT !!!!!
How many skirts are worn with a large belt ?
How many skirts are worn with ankle sox and hiking boots ?
It is quite obvious that the man pictured is wearing a kilt !
The object protruding from the right front side of the kilt is puzzling.
Its placement does not look like a sporran; fanny bag/pack or maybe
a folded cap/headgear of some sort nor does it appear that he is
holding something offhand with his right hand ?
Other than that nothing seems to be out of the ordinary.
Just a bloke wearing a kilt perhaps waiting to be waited on at a deli or
coffee shop.

A picture is worth a thousand words - why subject it to a limited scope ?

"Kilt-On"

" think independently?" never!!! Twitter is all about being part of the crowd. Crowds never think independently the best you can hope for is they actually recoginise the garment for what it is. It is a Utilikilt, I can tell that even from the bad cell phone picture.

It looks to be a UK, due to the logo on the back pocket, so I suspect that it's just something hanging out of the cargo pocket.

With respect to the comments, they're probably mainly from teenagers who have their hormones raging.

Believe it or not, this could be counted as progress.

Similar statements were commonly made about women wearing slacks in the 1950's. "Hey, look at this photo of a crossdresser." Etc. And now those photos would be considered not even worth notice, let alone a comment.

Looks like the man has a drinking mug on a belt loop suggesting he has come from a renaissance festival. Bet he got a lot of nice compliments there from people who like variety and maybe he'll be encouraged to try the kilt in daily life as well if he doesn't already.

The pic looks great to me. As far as I'm concerned, it makes no difference whether he's wearing a kilt or a skirt. It's progress! Sorta looks like me except for my long hair and a few more [yeah... just a few  ] pounds!
