Just introducing myself

Hi All
Just got round to doing an introduction on another site as a new member. So I thought I had do the same here. ( it is the same as on the other site - so to anybody else who is on both site - I apologise for the repetition)
I am in my mid 50s, married and I live in North Kent (England),
I come to skirt wearing via two separate interests Gardening and BDSM.
I like naked gardening and would probably be an active naturist, if I could be bothered to go to a nudist club (but I am too busy for that).
The problem with naked Gardening is that whilst most of our garden (200 foot) is not overlooked - our back door is. So in order not to upset the elderly neighbours I would normally leave the house with shorts on and then take them off when I get past the green house. But last summer for convenience I started to use a toweling wrap and then a sarong. Not only were these more convenient but I also found them more comfortable than trousers. So much so that I went out and got some long skirts for wearing around the house - The other plus point is I like bright colours. I am not a great lover of Kilts as they are too heavy.
And that is where the BDSM comes in - I am comfortable with the idea of men in skirts - from all the TVs and cross dressers I mix with. But it has not been on my list of must does because I was not interested in all the feminine bits that go with it. (I am bare legs and commando)
The Mrs was not entirely happy when I started wearing skirts because she also equates it with cross-dressing and she was expecting every thing that goes with that. It was while trying to convince her that that was not going to happen that I started searching on the internet and came across yours and other similar sites.
It was nice to find other men who wanted to wear skirts as men.
I wear skirts at the local play club occasionally - because they are accepting of it.
I do not at present wear skirts out in public (at the moment)- and I would not be happy to do so without the wife's agreement. it is strange she is reasonably comfortable with mixing with TV's in Public - but seems to baulk at the idea of me in a skirt in public.
So as a way of easing the wife into the idea skirts in public, I have got a tartan skirt, that could be taken for a kilt. I want to wear it to one of the munch's we go to, so it will be semi-public. Once she is comfortable with that we will see where that leads.
