I found
this article on Suite 101, I don't think it has been posted here previously.
Have fun,

Ian,
Great info. I enjoyed the links at the bottom of the article.
The one about
Urban Outfitters has some great ideas.
This
skirt can be made from a 3XL flannel shirt using the idea
from your
Skirts from Shirts post in the Sewing forum/topic.
I kind of like the idea of the 'shirt tail' edge as it helps the modesty
issue when sitting, and the side slit or curve to allow for a longer
stride when walking.
Thanks Ian

I added the following comment (which has now been approved) to the suite 101 article:
Skirts on guys may not be mainstream at present but as one of the few with sufficient self-confidence to try kilts and later other types of skirt I can only wonder why more don't try it.
Skirted garments simply allow a comfort and freedom that can not be achieved with trousers or shorts, particularly when seated for long periods. Whether sitting at a desk all day or stuck in the cattle class seats of an aeroplane a skirt is vastly more comfortable than having a restrictive in-seam cutting into the undercarriage.
So guys, if you've really grown a pair, try a skirt; this will both prove your masculinity and open your eyes to the comfort that fear of ridicule has denied you all your life.
I guess it could have done with a little more punctuation but hopefully the message was not lost through my carelessness.
Have fun,
Ian.

Yes, by the time I had got on the computer and looked at the link, there was your nice, to the point answer that was easy on the eyes and brain.
Thanks for doing that.
