I'm taking my wife to the Glastonbury festival. The thing is, what to wear? If it's wet, it will be welly boots and a denim kilt. If it's hot and dry, it will be sandals and something long and light. The pleasure of anticipation, I can enjoy the day before it's begun

Anyone else going to Glastonbury? I've heard tell that several modern kilts have been spotted there in the past.

I'd love to go to Glastenbury, but it is a way from here. Went to WOMAD though recently. Here are a few photos. I wore reddish sarong first two days, and the dress the final day. Jack.

Pretty slack at WOMAD. last year about four sarongs, this year, other than me and Allan in sarongs only ones noticeable. Definitely me only male out of 40,000 bods in a dress. Not that anyone seemed to notice! Jack. Here are a couple more photos:

Someone i certainly enjoyed on the Sunday, and you will probably see at Glastonbury, as i gather they are regulars there were "Rachel Unthank and The Winterset" from England. I did get their album "Bairns". Jack.

Well, we went to the Glastonbury Festival on Sunday. The site is huuuuuuge so we didn't see all of it. We seemed to spend an awful lot of time walking and dodging around crowds of people; there were approx. 200,000 people there. We were lucky that the ground wasn't a quagmire after the rain on Friday. There was some firm but soft mud, but mostly the ground was dry.
On the Pyramid stage we saw and heard (or rather felt, the bass notes made your chest vibrate) Status Quo and Madness, and the wife drooled over an ageing Tom Jones, who can still belt out the songs.
For skirt men, we saw:

three 21st Century kilts, one worn by a guy in a band, one was a tartan with the 21stC thunderbolt pin, and one camouflage kilt (I think it was 21stC).

a couple of other guys in tartan kilts.

one guy in a denim miniskirt and leggings. He'd disappeared before I could get a really good look.

an old guy in a flowery dress - but he didn't look like what some would call a 'crossdresser' i.e. no wig, falsies, makeup etc.

we also saw a guy wearing pink flowery tights under his shorts. He looked good as well.
Many of the younger men wore their clamdigger-type 'shorts' low-slung so that their underwear was on show - what a lousy fashion
I'll post some picture (none of men in skirts unfortunately) when I've downloaded the pictures from the camera.
Oh, I wore a pink polo shirt, a chocolate brown corduroy Union Kilt and sandals.
