Men can wear skirts too

Post by Charlie »

Here's a thoughful thread at http://www.experienceproject.com/storie ... Lot/152522
The guy says:
If I wanted to cross dress as a girl these days I'd wear tight jeans, not a skirt, and you notice that guys who like cross-dressing for fun choose styles that went out a hundred years ago, with suspenders and corsets and so on, because these days there's no difference between casual dress of men or girls.
He's absolutely right - there is no difference between casual dress for men and women.

If I want to dress like a woman, I'll wear jeans.

I believe that allegation is a wee bit harsh -- there are differences, but they tend to be so subtle that they're extraordinarily easy to overlook. It is true that the once dramatic differences are gone, and likely gone forever, but that doesn't mean they're not there; we just need to look closer to see them, and that begs the question of, "Do we have the time to spare anymore to notice the minutiae?"

Still in trousers because it's been a bad day, and I'm cold. :(
