This was picked up on the Atrium. The article is about Ugg boots being worn by men, and the columnist asks where will it end - tights and dresses for men?

I left a comment - of course :)

The article writer must be very, very young! Definitely not around in the fashion freedom years of the seventies & early eighties! These boots look just like 'Rigger' boots - which have been "men's wear" since Adam were a lad!!! 8)

Ugg boots have been around in Australia for many years, I remember wearing them 20 or so years ago. Then they were both male and female fashion. In recent times it seems women have taken to wearing them and not men. At this rate, men will lose pants as a male clothing article

Ugg boots were even worn by Rush Limbaugh of all people, back in the early '90s. Used to advertise about them all the time. But, sometime around the mid-late '90s, they became women's only footwear.

Without really looking at the article, I would say women are morphing into men.

Or could it be the genders are balancing out in areas not conducive to re-production?

Women are becoming less and less irreverent in more "civilized" nations.

hmmmm.

A culture where gender is of diminishing relevance would be interesting, at least in the ways that people find each other and the ways they might relate. Food for thought...

God! I hope so! If we could all MORPH into women we'd have all the same fashion freedoms that they do and then this board and others like would not be necessary anymore.
By morph I don't mean become women, by the way, just have the freedom to wear the same clothes and adopt what some might call a womanly look to them.
Why does anyone care what we wear or how we look.
I've seen some very ugly women wearing dresses, skirts and pants. That isn't to say that they are not nice women, just not nice to look at. But no matter how masculine a woman looks that's okay.
So why shouldn't we do a little morphing if that helps.
