A repeat of a very good video. I wonder if there will be

I noticed the hit count at 20,000+ which a good indication
that maybe more kids will turn to skirts for sports.

I saw somewhere on the web about 3 months ago where some site is selling Netball kits specifically for male measurements because so many boys have wanted to play netball and the standard kits aren't constructed for straight hips and flat chests. The new male kits DO have a skirt as part of the kit. Who knows, maybe the next generation of young men will not have the Victorian thought processes and disdain for skirts. We can only hope!

Uncle Al, I don't remember where it was, hence the "somewhere on the web" disclaimer..I didn't save it. It was being discussed by some newspaper in England I think. I just left a comment and kept on web surfing... This happened just before I went into heavy depression and ended up in the Hospital for a week due to an ulcer in my duodenum back on April 14th..(my dear departed mom's birthday) I usually get depressed and unhappy around that time of year. The ulcer was a surprise due to the anti-inflammatory medication I USED to take. Now I just have to live with the osteoarthritis pain, or use narcotic pain pills, which I'd rather put up with the pain instead of.

I have two Adidas On-Field Kilts, made for either field hockey or Lacrosse, I suppose. Found them really cheap on the rack in a Ross store. They are made of a breathable, non-wicking fabric called Climalite. These have drawstrings and are pleated on one quarter panel only with three deep folded pleats - no closure flaps. They are forest green with white inner pleat. My wife calls them my "cheerleader skirts" for that reason, but she's never seen either of the sports before.

I watched the Argentina vs Germany field hockey final on the internet and the athletic precision of the women in this sport is unbelievevable! And they looked HOT in those kilts, especially the Argentinian women! (I love athletic women! You can't imagine how it dashed one of my favorite daydreams when I found out that Amelie Mauresmo was a lesbian. So I added Maria Sharipova into the scene and now it's twice as good!) I know, I know...

In the US if you say "hockey" we assume you're talking about ice hockey. We refer to the other as field hockey, and it is generally seen as a women's sport although there is an increasing male interest in the sport and even some male leagues. Women traditionally play in a "kilt", which is really a skirt, rarely fitting the normal understanding of tailoring for a kilt. In some traditionally women's leagues/clubs males have been allowed to integrate (i.e. co-ed) but the leagues have maintained the skirt/kilt as a uniform, presumably to discourage male participation. I think the fact that these young men are coping with the uniform requirement so dismissively is a good sign.

I don't know how the original post identified the game as lacrosse; the two sports are fairly different except for the fields, and that for women's leagues the uniforms are similar.

Ray, here's your chance to introduce kilts to the men's leagues in Britain!
