What I do have to comment on is the amount of utter dross I had to wade through to find it. It seems that the folks at "Yahoo! Answers" don't do a terribly good job at vetting their submissions, and those who make submissions are even more lax in their copy writing. I knew we were in trouble from a literacy viewpoint, but that visit to Yahoo! was Positively! Painful!

Good grief! What a fussy, overcomplicated site. Now I understand why my son doesn't like it. Didn't find Pythos's question, but found some by Noodles 10 months ago. I finally created an account then found I couldn't vote on some of the replies because I'm not level 2. As Pythos says, there's some ignorance out there, so I'll persevere.

I've just passed an amusing hour reading some of the older skirt-related threads. Some of the replies are corkers:

the reason guys shouldnt wear skirts is because if they do they might be gay or they are irish/italian!!!!!! any way girls should be able to wear pants because its normal!!!!!

There's a lot of 'You can only wear a skirt if you're Scottish'

because it is not expected or acceptable....of men wearing skirts etc....
woman are capable and expected to wear skirts and pants....

Hmmm... I obviously lack the gene/chromosome that gives me the capability to wear a skirt

well, i posted by telling people to look in the mirror (regarding their reactions).

unfortunately, the people that could benefit most from my thoughts probably won't understand them.

By the time I had managed to work out what was what with the Yahoo site, I didn't manage to post an answer, but left another question there on the general subject of dress code injustice. I have "KiltyCol" as a log in there, as "Colin" was already taken by another. I will try again to post an answer Pythos, in the next day or two.
I have also left a post in "FemaleFirst" web site (again as "KiltyCol"), in the fashion section as it has a large membership. Women have a large input to the upbringing of children (adults of the future) and give children their attitudes to dress code. Childhood attitudes are difficult to shake off, even late on in life.

A later attempt and I have now managed to post a reply (login as KiltyCol). Thanks Pythos for the question and for letting us know and reply.
