Our departed leader Carl (CR) was ahead of all of us in recognizing the threat that exists for men in skirts like us, or any man that does not perform traditional masculinity. Unfortunately it caused him anxiety and depression. Even though Carl and I had our disagreements in the past, I always had that highest level of respect for him as a person and as our administrator. His death hit me very hard because I really respected and believed in his ideals. In order to honor his memory, I propose that we fight the best fight that we can against the powers that be to ensure that our freedom of expression isn’t declared unlawful. The only way we can accomplish this is by getting out and campaigning and voting so that are voices are heard. Remove the people from power that are trying to destroy us!

As men in skirts we must never loose sight of the fact that our government is attempting to remove constitutional rights for LGBTQ, especially Trans folks. In many states there are no employment protections for being gender nonconforming and you can be legally fired for wearing an article of clothing or makeup. This is the direction that America is moving. How does this affect us? As Carl and many other members of the Cafe have mentioned many times, to the general public, we men in skirts are lumped under the LGBTQ Trans umbrella and therefore we are directly affected by anti-LGBTQ legislation and state laws. If you can’t see this I feel very sorry for you because your head is buried so deep in the sand that you will never see daylight!

The most important right that we have as Americans is freedom of expression. That means that we are free to express ourselves in any manner that is not indecent. Do you as a member of the Cafe value and treasure that right? Please ask yourself that questions.

As the definition of woke is the 2010s version for me - being aware of systemic injustices, particularly racial prejudice and discrimination, I do not see the term as pejorative.

Indeed, I am proud to call myself woke.

I concur. It was/is a crazy use of the word -- but a segment of society seems bent on debasing anything they feel calls for equality, is progressive, or not a repressive male dominated authoritarianism. Being facetious is one thing, proclaiming an antonym where it is totally out of context should be treated as a grammatical felony!

The current administration has all of us here label here as having "awoke agenda." No matter how you voted as a conservative, you are seen as a liberal, no matter if you like it or not. No matter what political party you belong to, we are suppose to be one happy family in enjoying fashion freedom that brings us one family.
Around the globe the current administration been label as a "clown", not just by America's enemies, but also our allies. The emphasis is the current administration is being toxic and dangerous. The use of using of me using that label on the current administration is the same also trying to keep from making a straight political statement that violates skirtcafe rules. Since moderator is condemning me for using the label clown on the current administration. Everybody hear me hear me well there has been several great presidents from different political parties, I just oppose the current administration.
Uncle Al I don't hate you and you have done a lot great work, but oppose what I see of you using a heavy handed action. My heart is with everyone hear in having the right to wear what to wear and free from any government administration trying to dictate otherwise regardless of their political ideology.

None and neither should we. I won't be standing behind anyone when the mean men knock. If anyone supports me, good thank you but I won't be looking for it.
