At one time I wore Swiss hiking shorts, they were short enough that your butt cheeks were just visible. I had three or four pairs of them.they were very comfortable.

What were they made of? Btw, good to see you posting after so long

In the days when I wore jeans long enough to ware them out if I had a favourite pair that I couldn't bare to throw away I would (as did many others)cut the legs off to turn them into short shorts - very short because they often got holes just below the bum cheeks!

I think I may have a pair or two left, but I need a lot more sunshine & would probably opt for a skirt anyway...but butt or not ...good to see a post from you rather than about you -- 'tis good news to see you back on board when the energy and access permit.
