Thank you, Mouse. Now, instead of thinking about a hat-and-skirt rig, I will wear one.

I’ve recently taken up wearing hats on my outdoor jaunts. I especially love big brimmed floppy hats which look both stylish and feminine. Short and sweet, they’re a lot of fun!

I did all of those things to my man car and even pissed on it before burning it. It was the best thing I ever did. I don’t relate to the one-up, my dick is bigger than your dick default male mindset and tend to prefer the company of women or highly intellectual men.

For me, I have been developing my style for a long long time. I have always liked my hair as long as I can have it, but in later life, it left the top of my head and caused me to need a hat. This then became a large part of my style and separated me out from the rest of men, who rarely wear hats. My glasses, which I have worn from age 10, early on became reactolite, so my style of long hair, bush hat and dark glasses was there on my "Man card" long before skirts came along. The way I see it, my "Man card/box" has beed expanded to encompass other things from my secret private life and for things I always wanted to explore, to form the Mouse you see today.

I think a hat is a great way to mark yourself out as interesting, way before a viewer gets to your skirt.

I am developing my style in the opposite direction. I am trying to come up with a sort of androgynous look.

Start with the skirt (which I have obtained). Chose original Macabi for several reasons, the most important being:

1. I like a longer skirt.

2. Excellent pockets.

3. Sturdy.

4. Easy to care for.

Second, choose socks. I once wore brightly colored socks. The garish appearance was commented on by others. Toned that down, bought black socks. Recently, I realized that black is a neutral, and will go with most any color. Black also goes well with my skin tone, which is convenient when wearing shorts or skirts. However, my feet tend to be quite hot during the summer; the socks I was wearing are largely synthetic, and don't breathe well. Went to a store that specializes in socks, and an employee pointed me at (black) socks made largely of coconut fiber. Very comfortable.

My most recent purchase was a fedora hat, an item marketed to both men and women.

Correction, the socks are bamboo crew, not coconut.

I started wearing a fedora in the 1980s when I was a student. My hat-wearing declined for a long time because it's hard to pair a kilt with a hat (other than traditional Scottish hats, which I hate). Now I am hoping to experiment more with hats and skirts.

I seldom wear hats. The only time I wear one is when it is extremely cold and I will be outside for awhile. The hat is a corduroy cap with side flaps, which is definitely NOT a fashion accessory.

I wear those occasionally, when Im looking for psuedo-scottish, or real scottish look. Hats can really change how the gender of an outfit is perceived.
