A slip and skirt constitute an engineered system just as much as a nut and a washer. Think of them in that way.

And, just as you wouldn't use a washer on a screw, so is a slip unnecessary with trousers.

Jack here. What am I wearing on this winter's day? A bunch of Jockey "classic" t shirts in double X size which come down to my knees like little black dresses (I am 5 foot-eight) and ankle length lava-lava with some marino wool on top. Lava-lavas are what i like to wear the most & have alot of them. About all the men's skirts you can get in New Zealand. Other than kilts which are very Scots oriented of course.(I am more French-Scandinavian ancestry).//I happened on the "Blokes in skirts" sites out of curiosity and amazed at the enthusiasim out there for them. Hey! Good on all you skirt-wearing guys!! I saw the "Would you wear this dress?" piece. Ithought:"Not for me" Mainly because I dont go in for buttons really except on my Levis (like zippers even less!)However I could go for one or two of their other little black numbers modded to fit the male shape. Not that Kelston Auckland is ready for me in a dress i am sure! I guess they don't mind lava-lavas tho.Trouble is the "Gay" thing ,this beeing such a Rugby football kind of place. Even if some of the rugby jokers are "Gay" themselves!// You do though see a few guys skirted. That's when i wish i had a lava-lava on to give a bit of support. Will get out a lot more in them now (when the weather gets a bit better). One does not need always have pockets, which is the drawback. I do though have a handy little "hippie" like leather pouch with waist thong which is handy for a bit of cash for a cafe or such.Kept under t shirt. I guess that's enough rave from me. Keep up the good work! Jack.

My yin and yank T-shirt, black spandex mini 5" long. Black WoMan Levee tights. This skirt is one of my first, it is converted from a dress that I wore for rocky horror. It is quite shiny, but not terribly tight, though it looks it. The tights I have on are most likely on their last wearing, I got these 2 years ago, and they have gone through several wearings, but they were very fragile from the start and got little snags on them, and they are very low denier.

This was just a fun, lounge around the house outfit.

One thing I did when I bought that slip is get one that didn't have a lot of lace. It has a little bit of scaloping on the bottom but that is it. I just find it strange to wear a slip becuase I have never wore one before. I wore it for awhile to get used to wearing it witch after wearing it for awhile I never knew I had it on!

Hmm, is that like a overlarge regal nose and Viking blond/blueyed looks? I have a bit of that myself. I'm 66 and my hair is still mostly blond except at the temples, ocean blue eyes and a nose halfway between my mom's French one and my dad's Viking one. hmmm (scratching head) I guess that makes sense. :thewave: :thewave: :thewave:

My newly acquired American apparel high waisted zipper leggings. These have a zipper on the outside of each leg, a nice silver METAL one. My roommate said that these are the most "masculine" looking leggings I have gotten, because of the zipper. I liken them to Han Solo's pants that he wears, just tighter and have more shine. I really like them, accept for their 22" inseam, which allows me to wear them with only tall boots. They are black spandex, and have no front or back seams. They are truly meant to be worn as pants, not as things for under skirts (which I don't follow even with regular leggings). These are thick material so they really do not fit into the tights category. Check them out, and if willing get a pair. They are pricey but when you see the quality, you will understand why.

"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

RM, thanks for finding that link. While I know I'd quickly shred the fabric of those zipper leggings since I cross my legs a lot I saw other beauties. Oh boy are those shiny materials for other leggings stunning! My tastes will never leave the dress up box.

Those are them. The zippers actually do little if any damage when one crosses their legs.

Something I don't like about AA, is the leggings are marketed in the women only section, when some are clearly unisex. The choice for the guys is truly dismal, at least to me.

Is it me, or do most of those models wear their clothes as if they're trying to lure someone into an alley? :hide:

Lilac dress shirt, plain black calf-length A-line skirt, blue 1850s-pattern waistcoat, black dress shoes, and dark magenta tights (the label says "raspberry", but I've never seen a raspberry in this colour).

Cop shows on TV, I'm getting set to head out. Destination unknown. This will serve as an "out and about" rig as well as a "what am I wearing as I post" outfit.
