In Scotland, pleating to the stripe is reserved mainly for military kilts. Civilian kilts are generally pleated to continue the sett.

Two men within a minute in Brighton, one a knee-length skirt and the other wore one over trousers or thick leggings, both around North Laine.

While having breakfast at the local truck stop, one of my tablemates remarked on seeing a man, at a truck weigh station, get out of his truck to tend to some business. Seems he was wearing a dress. The report occasioned only very little comment from the other diners. One fellow (a farmer, not a trucker) opined that the individual probably felt that it was comfortable to be attired that way. That's all.

I like that Hayseed. A trucker in a dress. Trucking is very male dominated so will take a brave man to casually walk around in a dress. Being a MIS or in this case MID takes guts which most men for all their bravado, don't have.
As a side note:
I went with my family for a Popeyes dinner last Friday (I don't recommend it btw)..I wore my new(ish) polkadot skirt.

One lady was staring at me. Nobody else was bothered.

Not a skirt sighting, but a kilt one. On a ski slope.

I’m just back from skiing in Courmayeur in Italy. At a bar, an older gentleman with a great beard rocked up in a kilt. That’s not really worth mentioning.

What IS worth mentioning was that he was in the same kilt as he whizzed down a blue run the day after, nearly taking me out. Sartorially elegant but a bit wild with his skiing technique.

I'm glad that he didn't hit you Ray. :)

There is no excuse for taking out another skier or snowboarder, who is below you on the slope! Them's the rules. :Rulz:
