It's the first thing in the morning...
... on a weekend, and I haven't had my first taste of coffee yet.
White dress shirt, red waistcoat, black tiered skirt, black opaque tights (it's a bit raw out), and my black dress loafers (which I still haven't replaced yet).
Once I get some "go juice" into me, this will become a "out and about" rig as I need to go out and run errands (like pick my watch up at the post office, it having come back from repair yesterday and nobody was here to sign for it).

Same Old Same Old
All blue today, just got in from the grocery. Blue T-shirt, Blue twill straight just below the knee skirt, bluish black Birkenstock sandals. Too hot here for any kind of legwear + personally, any kind of tights or legwear remind me too much of trousers and I prefer the feel of the skirt against my bare legs.
I wish you folks had a Emoticon called "skirtdance" with an obvious skirt instead of a kilt.

The blue skirt I wore to the store is really looser than I need around the house so I switched to a longer, straighter, tighter black skirt with a built in silk underskirt I like. More steps with the black skirt but very very comfortable when sitting at the puter. IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII Like it!!!! I think I'll make some "Shepherds Pie" for this afternoons meal. In case anyone doesn't know what that is, it's creamed mashed potatoes, frozen green peas, and custom ground (three times through the grinder) sirloin steak. After cooking, it's all mixed in a broiler dish, sprinkled over the top with bread crumbs, and broiled for about 10 minutes or until the crumbs turn brown. YUM

Skip!
I beg to differ, Shepherds pie should have lamb instead of cow. The clue is in the name: pie. no that's not it! Shepherd, that's the one.
I reckon you have built a cottage pie, one of my favourites as well.
If you add cheese on top it's called Cumberland pie, I don't know if there are any other differences.
I hope you enjoyed it!
(Wearing my new ankle length stretchy denim combat skirt, the one I bought on EBay, the most comfy and easiest to wear skirt I have, including my kilt.

Shepherd
In America, unlike Scotland the word "shepherd" has been bastardized to include all herds of all animals eaten in the USA. It seems to me that if it's going to "only" mean sheep, it would be "sheepherd". In the US the word "shepherd" also mean to oversee the movement of "any" group of creatures including cows, sheep and boy scouts. I was a Scout Leader when I was young and was told by my superiors to shepherd this group or that group of boys to this activity or that one.
Since I was old enough to talk in connected sentences, (about 3) I've known of a dish my Mom created called "Shepherd's Pie" and it was ONLY made from ground beef, mashed potatoes and either peas or lima beans. Mom said her mom had shown it to her and my dad knew of the dish from his mom also. That means in just "our" line it goes back at least 150 years named "Shepherd's Pie". Now I came from the North Eastern section of the USA ie: Pennsylvania where there are hardly any sheep at all but lots and lots of cows. My dad, who was born in South Florida, the #1 state in the USA for cows was raised eating it too.

Skip,
Fair do's, I thought a shepherd of cows was a cowboy in the good ole US of A.
My Mum's Shepherds/cottage pie (don't remember what she called it) was baked beans, corned beef, mixed up and topped with mashed potato. You win on the hereditory pie front.
Still, if it is nice and it is real food properly cooked by people, who cares what it is called?
Right, I'm off to Google for shepherds pie and cottage pie just for the hell of it.

Nice and sunny weather, although still cold in the shade.
White broderie blouse, short sleeve, and a white linnen skirt, knee length. With thongs ( rubber footwear not underwear
)
Worn it today on the bicycle, to town, and am wearing it now while posting.
Very comfortable.

A man is the same man in a pair of pants or a skirt. It is only the way people look at him that makes the difference.

B & B
You're right, cowboys DO work with cows, however, no one here ever said "those cowboys are cowboying those cows" People said, "Those Cowboys are either herding those cows or shepherding those cows". Men that ran both sheep and cows on their ranches would say "The herders are shepherding the animals, even though all the workmen LOOKED like "cowboys". But of course in the western USA(herding country) nearly EVERYONE male looks like a working "cowboy" whether they are a dancer, an officeworker or a cop when they are off duty and on their own time. (fortunately at some of the dances, you will see a different looking outfit. Starting from the top, cowboy hat, cowboy shirt, wide belt with huge buckle, full skirt with fluffy underskirts (women call these petticoats, they help the skirt to flare out when spinning) and high heeled leather cowboy boots.

Back on topic, I have been mostly in shorts and tshirt over the last few days; even jeans (well, one has to be honest).
Tonight - a slate grey woolen shift dress, nude hosiery, low black heels. A real break from the recent norm, and in all likelihood, I'll be back in shorts and tshirttomorrow. Unless it gets cold....
