As I type I am wearing a very short white denim mini crafted in the Levi 5 pocket style along with deep blue polo style shirt. I never lurk, participate or otherwise browse this board unless I am wearing some type of skirt or dress. I am not into petticoats but possibly achieve the same effect by wearing one or more underskirts. This morning for example I was wearing two light weight broomstick knee length skirts. Over the top of these skirts I wore a suede like shirt waist dress that fell slightly below the knee. This combination was extremely comfortable and warm as I strode out get the morning paper in low teen temperatures.

The shirt waist dress was purchased at a Walmart store this summer. I bought two dresses at that time in two sizes. The smaller dress was an absolute disaster for fit from the waist up. So I cut the top off and fashioned a new waist band and ended up with a very acceptable skirt that my wife even tolerates.

I'm wearing a ankle length wrap around black skirt that I got a couple of years ago off the Internet from Men in Time, in Germany. Also got on a navy jumper over a pink t-shirt, that may not look great, but it is warm combination.

Midas denim skirt with Umbro soccer socks. Went in for the sporty look today and wore this into town earlier with an Adidas hooded fleece.

Grocery Store

Post by Since1982 »

Just got back from the Grocery store. Wore my straight low knee length denim skirt, navy blue short sleeve T-shirt, Birkenstock sandals. That skirt is the one I usually wear to the store as I use their electric shopping cart when I go and the straight denim is easy to wear on the seat. 8)

Currently, red soccer socks, navy blue swim skirt (normally worn as an underskirt underneath my traditional kilts), and a long sleeve teal t-shirt. Earlier, I had on my Armstrong tartan kilt, bottle green flashes, and hiking boots, in addition to what I'm wearing at the moment.

What is a "swim skirt", if I may ask? Is it like a skirt made of swimsuit material?

Yup. That it is. It's essentially a miniskirt that's made out of lycra. Somewhat stretchy, but is an A-line design, so it does tend to hide things pretty well when you're sitting with the legs together. Has built-in underwear...

OK, my turn <giggle>.

Carl is wearing a navy, heavy cotton jersey 6 gored skirt, sheer hose and a black T that reads "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.

I'm wearing a navy skirt just like the one Carl is wearing, navy tights with Harry Potter/Gryffindor knee socks and a navy blue Dropkick Murphy's "Bastards on Parade" T, and my "cop" shoes - plain black oxfords with orthotics slipped into place.

At the moment, a dark tan ankle length cargo skirt, front button, zip fly, elastic waist with additional tie strings, topped with an elderly oshkosh chambray work shirt. Just good, knock around work gear.

Usual slobbing around kit - short elasticated skirt (tartan), navy blue opaque tights, navy roundneck golfing jumper. Everything stretchable!

Veterans day

I have a tan A-line skirt I picked up off Ebay about a year ago because it has in huge letters, SEMPER FI on the back and front. I usually wear it on this holiday to give support to our troops. It's a modified A-line, almost straight but more A than ||... 8)
