Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. Binx, you ever look on ebay? With your waist size I'd think you could get allllll kinds of skirts on ebay for less than 10 dollars. I just bought 2 bortacelli straight mid calf skirts on ebay for $1.99 each, and that was the "buy it now" price. the total shipping for both was $5.00 Priority US Mail. There's tons of crepe skirts on ebay...TONS of them. + any other type skirt you ever wanted. My SO Judy has gotten re-interested in wearing skirts because I do and she's bought at least a dozen peasant tiered skirts of various colors and materials and paid no more than 5 bucks for any one of them. Most, she's gotten for 99 cents ea.
My waist size is still lots bigger than yours looks like and I have no problem at all finding skirts that fit me on ebay. Those Bortacellis are really nice. cotton with a muted pattern on both, one is red and the other is orange.

Well, it was going to be cool to wear an $80 skirt while only paying $8, so it was worth a try, and it was gathered, so it was really roomy. Otherwise, I'm usually watching eBay and Bryco sales. I've recently gotten a couple of denim ankle-length ones that I'm going to shorten and wash a few times for the frayed-hem look and comfort factor. Great with the pockets and an elastic waist, also has belt loops.
If you like that frayed hem look, just cut the hem off anything denim and wash it and it frays immediately. Personally, I like the hem nice and neat..You know, different strokes for different folks..I think someone said that at Woodstock. :cheer:
