I have yet to make my first public outing as I am waiting for my wife to become comfortable with it. Your first time is a bit like a rite of passage isn't it? At least that's how I'm looking at it. Off to Egypt tomorrow for 2 weeks holiday and have promised not to take any skirts. I will probably regret this if the opportunity to wear a skirt arises!!!! :?
I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.

Stay with the promise and you could always get a new skirt there.
You could also try to involve your good lady in the decision.
Good luck and enjoy the holiday.
Steve.

You could always go native and buy a galabbiyah (robe) worn by Egyptian, and other, middle eastern men. These garments are perfect for the climate over there. Saudi men stick to spotless 'Persil' white but, in Egypt there should be a wider palette of colours.
