Pretty much the same here..kiltsrawesome wrote:Christmas time for me means more time spent with family and relatives, and they would freak out if they saw me wearing a kilt or a skirt. They are horribly close-minded about such things. So my skirts are all packed away, for now. . .

Re: Anyones skirt wearing influenced by christmas?
Mine isn't, mainly because I skirt pretty much every day, although not 24/7, but, more like 18/7, since I'm skirted about 90% the time in public, about 75% @ home, and, usually have a skirt of some kind on when I hit the hay.

Re: Anyones skirt wearing influenced by christmas?
We had combined Christmas/New Year dinner on 27th of Dec. with neighbours in our home. I was kilted. They all have seen me kilted, so nothing special about it. But they were preising my new home made kilt with slit pockets.
Each year one family orginizes dinner for 3 neighbouring families (tradition) in that time period.

I was up in Scotland for new year, in a lovely cottage with g/f and two other couples. I was kilted on Hogmanay (31 Dec) and was skirted (18 inch grey, with opaque tights) on the 30th and 2nd Jan while pottering about in the evening. This was the first time one of the copules has seen me skirted, but the stay passed without incident.

Hi. I live in Ayr Scotland and just reregistered after a while away. Yes I wore my kilts all the time over Christmas and New year. Dont celebrate New Year much but its just accepted that kilts will abound. Mostly worn by people going on nights out though so being seen in mine in the local supermarket and around town got a few favourable comments. Its usually a woman who says how refreshing it is to see a man in a kilt these days.
