I got asked last night by a woman who may never have seen me in trousers whether my skirt-wearing was a matter of religion. I may have disappointed her when I said, "No, I just find skirts a lot more comfortable than trousers." Interestingly, that is by far and away the most common question I get.
PS Note to self: allow beard to grow big and fluffy... on second thoughts, don't. Mrs M would hate it.
Note to self: trim the beard... Sapphire hates mine the way it is now.

If I may break my own rule about commenting on the outfit in the picture, I don't think that this man looks that bad. In fact, I think the outfit is really quite a good example of a man in a skirt/kilt/whatever!

That probably was my comment, mentioning the fact that what the guy was wearing was not a "long skirt" and that he wasn't wearing leg warmers, nor a paisley jacket.

Correct.

When I referred to the color of his pleated skirt/kilt being perhaps a Welsh kilt I was referring to these two Welsh tartans. Morgan and Vane in that order.
