See this from Wikipedia:

That's the East coast of Africa, if I view the map correctly

Yeah - Somalia - that is the country with pirates pillaging ships at sea for $$$ ransom.
They lost one battle yesterday to the US Navy but in the past week managed to capture
7 other vessels.
Since when do you go to sea fishing with AK47 rod and reel?!

Sorry about that...I guess I meant my OTHER West. I had it in my mind correctly, just chose the wrong word. I knew Ethiopia was on or near the (almost said west again) EAST coast...oh well...RAARRRGH! I hate it when I have the facts right but choose the wrong words. Because I had looked at the map myself. Incidentally, that's cool the way you were able to import the map. I haven't learned how to do that yet....on to better things, when it gets cold, I sometimes put my pants or trousers on over my (sleep) skirt. Does anyone else do that, or am I just weird? Don't answer that! LOL. :?:

Exactly. When indeed, unless you are fishing for some awfully strange fish. Anyhow, I partly wanted to see if I could put a quote in my reply. I'm still learning how to do it, but I wanted just to take the last sentence and quote it, but I didn't know how, so I guess I had to take the whole quote. Please have patience, I'm still learning.... :cyclops:

I'd just like to comment on the power of conditioning...if you were born in a country where the Kikoy or Kanga or sarong was the accepted norm, you wouldn't even think twice about seeing a man in a "skirt", but in many western countries...and I wonder where that came from, the only thing I can think, when everyone used to ride a horse and started wearing trousers in order to do so, maybe if you weren't in trousers or pants of some kind, the implication would be you couldn't ride a horse, and therefore you were not a man, does this make any sense? To me, the restriction against Mugs makes no sense, when you think of it logically, and not in a cultural context. Oh well, I guess this has been overdone.

You're welcome!

This forum (like any other) sometimes falls a sleep. I don9t think it'll die so easily.

I liked the comment "the Bible...wait a minute, isn't that a book of guys full of MUGs?"
That's not what I said..the actual quote was..

"Wait a minit. The Bible belt, isn't that book full of guys in MUGs?" With importance on the word IN mugs..

Sorry, Since1982, I didn't mean to quote incorrectly. I think I was in too much of a hurry and probably suffering from some sort of brain fade, too. Anyhow, I did like that comment...I have to be careful, or I'll start sounding like a broken record, getting on my soapbox, etc. Anyhow, has anybody heard about the sport of netball? I've heard that sometimes the boys or men wear the same uniform as the girls, which is a sort of dress or skirt. I just wonder if anybody had heard about that?

Don't worry about it, I get plenty of brain fades. YES, there is a sport called Netball where both boys and girls wear what's called the Netball Kit. It includes a skirt and speedo like shorts underneath, to give you grass burns protection. Field Hockey also has boys in skirts playing on formerly all girl teams. Check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UAPQWFF9N0 This should make you happy :alien:

Alright! I will do so, thanks. Not much going on besides that. I don't have the courage to wear my skirt in public, but I did show it to one of the girls here at the (real) cafe where I'm at right now and she said that this is sort of a counter-cultural cafe and that occasionally a guy would show up in a kilt. I haven't seen one yet, though. Incidentally, if anyone likes to play chess, I play fairly regularly on chess.com as Gummug. Thanks again!

I play online poker at Full Tilt poker.com or net and at Pokerstars.com or net and at Ultimate Bet.com . At Fulltilt I'm "White Death" at Pokerstars I'm "BCudaQ", and at Ultimate Bet I'm "LeatherRass" come look me up. We can play in either real money or play money games. The .com sites have both, the .net sites only have play money. Right now, all the sites are running freeroll promotions to have the end result of getting a seat in the WSOP for free and being yet another poster child for a poker site. Full Tilt has a promotion I've been playing in every day that can get a seat in the WSOP Main Event and if you win that, Full Tilt will give you an additional 10 million dollars on top of the WSOP Main Event winnings. So by playing these promotions for FREE you could possibly win over 15 million dollars with NO investment except time. I'm retired... :alien:  :alien:

I may definitely have to try that. I'm somewhat daunted though by navigating the internet, I'm getting better at it (I think) but I was trying to import a file to put on this post, and I didn't seem to be able to even do that! Aaaargh! Oh, well......

Just Google "Full Tilt Poker.com", download the software and play the play money games until or if you get secure enough to try the real money games. For those you have to invest at least $50.00 by credit card prior to playing them. ßßßoy...O'ßoyoßoy..
