Thanks for all the messages of congratulations. Kaz was overwhelmed. She left the country on Tuesday and is about to begin working in a hospital in Tonga for a couple of months on what's called an "elective".
Unle Al - she will complete her two "foundation" years in a hospital in Nottingham, UK, after which she will be a "Senior House Officer" and will have to apply for what is called a "training place" for a specialism - the route which leads to being a consultant. She wants to be a paediatrician because of the huge variety of cases that are encountered and, knowing her as I do, I think she'll stick to that. Her partner is, interestingly, a psychiatrist!
