Somehow that reminds me of the lines from Full Metal Jacket:
"This is my rifle, this is my gun."
"This is for fighting, this is for fun."

Substitute "wife" for the rifle, it may be worth a sardonic smile.

I've been using a messenger bag for ages, and it's a lifesaver. Keeps everything organized and no more bulky pockets. Good call on the clutch for dinners.

I have three hand bags all the same style, but different colours. They were termed "messenger bags" when I bought them. I find them especially useful in my non working outfits.

I have two. One is leather with a fixed length shoulder strap. It looks like an old style saddle bag. The other is a large multi pocket denim bag with an adjustable strap. I use them mainly in the summer when I am not wearing a jacket or coat.
I have actually started using them less since I have started making my own skirts with large pockets.

For me it is quite similar, but instead of messenger bags I prefer this style:

Please do not use the word “Man Bags”. It is ridiculous!! When a women used a backpack, she does not call it a “Woman Pack”.

Interesting pic. Yes, that bag would pass anywhere as 'unisex' and is quite practical as well as elegant. Recently I had to replace my laptop and the new one came in a smart fitting zippy soft case with short and long straps, so it could be carried over the shoulder. Being old and lazy I drive everywhere and park so I only have very short distances to walk, so the zippy case gets carried by hand only.

As to those shoes/bootees.....No chance of either a unisex label or of driving anywhere in them, for sure.

I stopped carrying a wallet a few years back and it has helped alleviate some back/hip aches. I have a quality leather cast for my iPhone that has slots for my licenses, a credit card or two, and a place for folding currency. I suppose that is my "clutch" bag.

I like both the bag and the boots, and would have no problem driving in them

Now-a-days there is no such thing as men's. There is only women's and unisex clothing since women wear everything. We need to change this paradigm.

Meh! Not interested in unisex. When I carry a bag, I make a point of using a women’s style. As for the boots, while I rarely wear anything over four inches these days, those do look sharp.
