Long tr*users. It's cold and wet, and I'm glum and depressed -- perfect trouser territory.

I just got home and was sad to see that my posting of yesterday didn't quite make it to the site.

I went up to Manchester on business, arriving late I booked into a hotel with a great last-minute deal. I changed into a kilt and went down to the bar to reclaim my free bottle of wine, and to surf the net on my rather ancient Sharp Zaurus PDA.

So there I was in the bar, no comments enjoying a rather nice wine. Unfortunately when I "submitted" the PDA hung and I couldn't check whether my posting had got through.

This morning - still kilt-clad I went down to breakfast in the hotel, before taking a walk around Piccadilly. The only comment came from - you've guessed it - builders. As I walked past a group erecting scaffolding I had the quite friendly comment " Had a good night last night!", to which I could reply quite truthfully - "A very good one!"

Shame I couldn't pluck up the courage to go to my meeting in the kilt, it would have been much more comfortable.

By the way - I'm posting this, dressed almost as I was last night - roll-neck top, McCloud of Harris Ancient Kilt, but without the shoes and socks.

Skirtdude,
That hug looks lovely, but it's about 10mm by 10mm on this screen, is it available anywhere and large enough to see properly? it looks like it would make a great desktop wallpaper.

Sorry to hear that. Here's a hug Image
Thanks for that, by the way, SD. The warm and fuzzies helped.

That's a nice image; the world needs more of 'em.

Back on topic, what am I wearing now? I'm wearing my work gear, but have swapped off the bottom parts from black trousers to my black tiered skirt. The upper part is a blue dress shirt with my antique-pattern blue waistcoat. And I'm off to bed in a few minutes; I need the rest....

Dress shirt, wool sweater-vest, long (37") fleece-lined nylon skirt. Kind of bummed out because it looks like I left my wallet on the train home (the wallet with my train ticket.) There's some hope they'll have it at the Lost & Found at Grand Central sometime tomorrow. Never a dull moment.

a pair of nightshirts (one over another) and socks. My feet and upper body are more temperature sensitive than my legs.

White short sleeved shirt. Denim skirt that falls about 4 inches below the knee (an eBay purchase!) front split, 10 denier flesh toned tights.

About to put on a pair of jeans (after I shower) and off to my gf's to finish installing the bumper on my car I painted. My housemates wouldn't think very well of me wearing a skirt around here. But I only have to live with them for another week maybe two at most, so I'm cool with jeans for now. Maybe a skirt later in the day, who knows.

Skirtdude, Try checking the bearings if it's a constant whine.

I'm slowely building my rally car (the bumper comment in a different thread), Which is a 99 Subaru Impreza L (going to be nicer than an STi in a couple years).

Working at home today, so wearing a calf-length skirt in a very fine brown and white check, cut on the bias.
This with a green long sleeve tee-shirt, cream fishnet hold-ups and a full slip (for warmth - its quite chilly today and I add clothes rather than turn the heating up)
All the best,

Andrew

T-shirt and shorts, soon to be T-shirt and jeans. Gotta figure out why one of my front tires feels like it's out of round...

Just got home and changed into an calf-length denim skirt. Shirt and sweater vest on top. Warm and comfy.
