Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. I do not like advertising on my clothes. I am of the opinion that I do not need to advertise your brands without compensation from you and you probably could not afford me.
Beachlion pictures would be nice when you decide to make the skirt!!

I will not tolerate visible "branding" on my attire, full stop. That's just plain tacky. The same goes for Corporate-issue tee-shirts and the like.
I, however, am more than happy to recommend suppliers who have done well by me over time and who have good products.
But, do not expect me to be a moving bill-board.

Have you noticed where the vanishing point is located?
Ha, my point about not knowing if ir was a front view or back view
With the female skirt wearer it would not make a difference -
it would be a clear shot through the unobstructed crotch -
AND I am not going any further with this -
It might spoil Christmas - New Years and then some more - - -
But certainly interesting in the Vanishing Point concept as I
always thought of that with railroad tracks - - -
Anyone been railroaded in a skirt ?
"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !
A skirt that I find appealing; great colour combination, short enough, elastic waist and pockets. I will have to contact seller to find out what the material is. Viscose or rayon OK but polyester a deal breaker. https://picclick.com.au/City-Chic-Flipp ... 01745.html

One for Beachlion Quite a nice skirt actually, just my style. A pity about the lettering on it - not so much what it says, I object to any writing on garments. https://picclick.com.au/Von-Dutch-Women ... 27963.html
It took some time and it required more engineering than anticipated. To get the pleats right I had to make paper models. It is not an exact copy, the front and back are more or less identical with my version. It is certainly light and flowy. I used quite thin fabric.

The pictures are still far below my usual standard because of the white background. I have to find a better spot.

I am so impressed with you sewing skills. I think that it is an improvement using the lighter material, especially with the pleats. It does not have belt loops but they are only needed if the waist is a bit large and obviously you would make it to fit perfectly. I wear some skirts with belt loops but no belt if they fit well.
Fancy being able to make a skirt based on a photo!

From the picture I could scale the relations between the various parts. Then I had to scale it up to my size. The whole skirt is a part of a circle and I have done that before.
With wind force BF3 and higher, I have to be very careful.
