What Really Is Alternative Fashion?
I must be getting old or something its either that or I’m far more alternative then alternative.
Have a look at this online clothing store
http://www.bluebanana.cc/shop/acatalog/ ... ction=Home
Then have look at this one
http://www.attitude.uk.com/
Spot any real difference? (other then the colour scheme?)
It seems what is now deemed culturally alternative actually isn’t very alternative & in fact just as homogeneous as mainstream fashions.
Maybe Men’s Fashion Freedom might be the last bastion of alternative fashion philosophy?

Got to agree! "Alternative" for youngsters (esp. lads) seems to mean wearing almost identical, so-called 'designer gear' which is just a tad smaller (although 2-3 times the price!) than that worn by Dads!Pythos wrote:Excepting some of the skirts and dresses, and boots at these places, all I saw was the usual crud that is marketed to the "alternative" kid, or young adult. It is sad really.
Don't forget, although WE may be "alternative", I think the gros of the public finds what they are saddled up with just great. ( It's of course not all bad
) so there is no real problem. Just as well, If everybody was wearing what we are now, then we'd have to wear "drab p*ants " to be different, that is if we wanted to be different.....

A man is the same man in a pair of pants or a skirt. It is only the way people look at him that makes the difference.
