Center Parcs

Post by Stu »

Just got back from a 5-day break at a holiday centre in the beautiful Lake District, Cumbria. I spent most of it skirted both in private and public. Denim skirts so I got the usual reaction from people - ZILCH!

Main in denim skirt = nobody cares.

Here's a pic my daughter took just outside the entrance to the main complex. There were dozens of people about (although you can't tell that from the photo because I was standing with my back to the lake) but nobody batted an eyelid.

Agreed! Stu that's an awesome look. Where did you get that skirt, it's fantastic.

Thanks, chaps. It's a stretchy indigo denim skirt and I bought it about 3 or 4 years ago from Marks and Spencers. It wasn't cheap, but I have washed it and worn it lots of times and it still looks OK.

Stu, you look so happy and comfortable and the denim skirt looks right on you. I haven't tried a denim skirt but I have recently bought and started wearing two denim Union kilts (light blue and dark blue) and as you say, people give absolutely no reaction to denim.

Stu,

Looking good! Nice look. Shaved legs too, unless you are naturally non-hairy. What I see above anything else is a relaxed person, completely at ease with themselves. You could photoshop trousers, a suit, summer shorts over your photo and your facial relaxation and body posture would continue to convey the same message.

My legs are unshaven - and although it doesn't shown up on the photo, they are actually fairly hairy! Must be a trick of the light. I did shave my legs some years ago, when I was into serious cycling, but have never bothered since.

I was certainly relaxed: Center Parcs provides a very relaxing holiday break, albeit rather brief. The skirt simply wasn't an issue for anyone, either in the Parc or when we visited Lake District towns like Keswisk, so I just got on with my holiday and forgot about it. Yet more proof that blokes can wear denim skirts without any problem these days.
