Hi, my name is mike. Carl (crfriend) was one of my two best friends. Many years ago I went to visit his home and this was the first time that I saw him wearing a skirt. I didn't say anything. After a while he mentioned this and "apologized" for what he thought was an awkward moment. I reassured him that I thought this was a "natural" look for him, which is why I hadn't commented. He started wearing skirts in public shortly after that. Sometime later, I also started wearing skirts in public. Carl inspired me to be myself and wear what felt "natural" to me. Over the years we discussed fashion. I really liked his Victorian style outfits. I wear similar attire.

Hi Mike it's nice to meet you. I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend Carl. My husband Andrea(Moonshadow) and I had the pleasure of meeting Carl. I've always admired his love for computers, photography of pictures he'd taken, the fact he loved sailing and his Victorian skirt wearing style. He will be deeply missed and we will cherish the wonderful friendship we made with him.

Yes, skirt wearing has had a significant affect on me. I feel far less constrained and more comfortable in expressing myself.

Hi Mike, you are most welcome. To me it is particularly significant that you were a close friend of Carl's and I understand your great loss.
Carl's influence on my wearing skirts in public was not as direct as yours, however it was this forum which helped me take the first steps to wearing mini skirts full time.
Carl and AL invited me to become a moderator to which I have done to the best of my ability and hope that I can help other members.
I am so sad that I never got to meet Carl as I reside in Australia, nor got to speak to him on the phone.
