Wide variety of colors is why I like https://www.welovecolors.com/ They custom color your order.Mouse wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2024 12:08 am I buy most of my stockings and tights from Romartex, a Polish company, through Amazon https://amzn.eu/d/iLqC3EY They seem the only company that do a proper range of real colours. You would be amazed at the number of women that want to know where I get my hosiery from, because of the colours.

Mouse
Try also the Cecilia de Rafael Sevilla range. I have some red sheer tights. Good sizing too.
Have a look at Trasparenze’s “Oleandro” range - although they are not as good for tall men.
Both of the above lines have striking colour choice.

I’ve been wearing opaque tights under work jeans for about 30 years. Good to give my knees a little bit of support (I have Oesteoarthritis) & for warmth. From October-April 80 Denier Snag Tights or M & S Bodysensor are my go-to hosiery. However, due to the freezing weather last week they were back on again!phathack wrote: ↑I wear tights under pants as an extra layer to keep me warm when I'm going to be out side for a while in cold winter weather.DrFishnets wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2024 5:41 pm Yeah, I could never see the point in wearing tights under trousers unless it was for medical reasons. The feel of only just wearing tights on the legs is a lot better as the feeling of cool air on tights clad legs is sublime and incredible and very grounding.

Re: Sheer tights and pantyhose
Today is a warm and sunny day. Accompanied by my Wife, I wore 15 denier Nude Light Support Tights from Boots the Chemist (UK) under my Black Regatta Shorts. I wore Clarks’ Men’s Canvas Shoes. These Tights are very stealthy.
We strolled through busy Parks, the busy local neighbourhood shops, and then a crowded Garden Centre. There were no untoward stares, no reaction at all from anyone, and no one noticed that I was wearing Tights.
My Wife noticed a slight reflective shimmer from my ankles in direct sunlight, but nothing more. She had no issue on my wearing these Tights when accompanying her.

DrFishnets wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2024 9:55 pm I was wondering what types of hosiery fellow male skirt wearers wear with their dresses/skirts in public. I’m tempted to try out sheer tights/pantyhose from 10 to 15 denier but afraid that it might look too feminine as sheer tights and pantyhose is more like make-up for the legs. I do wear sheer hosiery in private at home and the feel of them are amazing but it would be a dare to wear in public.
I’ve just come across this topic. I’m always trying to find sheer tights in the UK but I don’t know what to buy. What type or size. When i see women wearing sheer black tights they look like they would feel soft and amazing to wear. Especially under a silk skirt. But the ones I’ve bought on line or from supermarkets have been disappointing. They haven’t been soft or silky to the touch. In fact they are rough and just dull black or brown.
Maybe I’m not spending enough.
I when i find some I may also feel they are too feminine to wear out, but I bought two skirts, finally a short walking shirt and a pleated silky Primark long skirt. So id wear them with those i think at home or one day hopefully in public.
Any suggestions as to what to buy or what brand please! Thank you

Re: Sheer tights and pantyhose
If you are looking for sheer and silky feeling tights then Tesco sell 40 denier black tights (which look sheer for the denier) which feel very comfortable and have a sheen on them and a slight silky feel to them. Primark sell 30 denier black tights which look good and have a silky feel to them. Since my last post I’ve been wearing ultra sheer black 10 denier tights a lot with my long tiered skirt or black mini dress and they feel very sexy. I bought them from M&S amd Primark.
I’ve noticed that it’s getting harder now finding Pretty Polly and Aristoc tights in high street shops. I remember years ago department stores used to stock them especially Pretty Polly Nylons which I’ve always wanted to try but unfortunately they are rare now and can only be purchased online.
If you don’t mind wearing stockings then I can recommend Gio Fully Fashioned 15 denier Nylons which are absolutely silky sexy and sublime and come in colours from black to beige. They really are gorgeous stockings and are made of 100% nylon and made on the old fashioned machines of the 1940s but they are quite expensive at around £25 for a pair. I have a few pairs that I might start wearing with my goth outfits.

If you prefer buying online then members on this forum have recommended buying tights form Snag Tights.

Re: Sheer tights and pantyhose
Thanks DrFishnet. Lots of information there. Silky and sexy is what I’m going for and I don’t mind wearing stockings at all. In fact I’d love to. I will need some knickers to enhance the experience.i liked one of your posts where you enjoyed the pulled sensation of the suspended belt. I’ve only worn holdups and had the tops rubbing together when I walked so I’m interested in buying ones to use with a belt now and see how that compares. I’m looking forward to the openness they might bring to the groin area. Thanks again for all the information.

Re: Sheer tights and pantyhose
If you are going for a suspender belt, make sure you buy a good one with at lease 6 suspenders and metal clips for connecting to the stockings. You are right, the fresh air feel is fun compared to tights. Also remember that the pants go on last, over the suspenders.....for obvious reasons in the bathroom. This one works for me https://amzn.eu/d/3KAm6xu
Daily, a happy man in a skirt...
Re: Sheer tights and pantyhose
Thanks Mouse. Yes pants on last. I think I will get some knickers to go with them.

Re: Sheer tights and pantyhose
Some thoughts on silky sheer tights.
Cecilia de Rafael are superb. Try their Eterno Super Lucido 20, or even the 10 denier choice. They are more expensive than supermarket tights, but they feel and look far better. Even the Sevilla tights are pretty good from the same brand, but at a lower price.
Try also microfibre tights. A really smooth finish, but not as shiny.
Brands like Falke (Seidenglatt 15) and Wolford (Neon 40, Satin Touch 20) are superb, but are quite expensive.
Hope that helps.

Re: Sheer tights and pantyhose
I have to say I have not found this advice ideally helpful! My experience was that suspender straps worn inside the pants gradually ratcheted down the pants, which was not a comfortable sensation! I prefer to keep the straps on the outside, and have not had any great trouble when visiting the facilities.

Thanks Ray I’ll certainly check those outRay wrote: ↑Mon Nov 17, 2025 1:16 pm Some thoughts on silky sheer tights.

I forgot to mention. The Sevilla tights come in some great colours (edit - but not if you’re anything other than petite - sadly. Seems many colours are discontinued)
