Hi every one

If you're new to the Cafe, please grab a seat by the potted palm, settle down with a nice big latte, and tell us a little bit about yourself. Please also look here for forum principles and rules.

Hi every one

Post by Pauly »

Just a short intro from me, I am Paul a 60 something heterosexual man who lives in Yorkshire (United Kingdom) ,like many of us I have in the last few year started wearing skirts, both in private and occasionally also out in public. Any way it's nice to meet fellow skirt wearers.

Hello and welcome Pauly! Feel free to tell us more about yourself, your skirts and how you get on wearing them out and about. Or ask for advice, plenty of guys here give you the benefit of their experience.

I've been wearing skirts publically in the UK for nearly 15 years, without incident. Compliments are very rare, disparaging remarks even rarer - two, I think. Almost everyone just leaves me to get on with it.
Keep on skirting,

Alastair

I would describe myself today as been in a transitional style stage, because I have worn ladies tights all my adult life discreetly under men's trousers at first for may years, then I moved on to been what is describes by society as a " Cross Dresser" no matter what I tried ,how good or bad I looked as a women even if it was my male voice ,personally felt that I could not get away from been seen as cross dresser.

There is nothing wrong with that at all and had some enjoyable times in reality It was not doing it for me any more.

As a man I am not noted as been the most stylish dresser around, Yes I am clean and smart but not stylish, thus in recent times I wondered if I could change my personal style slightly or my be some would say dramatically by including skirts in my wardrobe and getting my legs out and wearing tights and maybe even trying dresses.
I want to explore the concept that men can wear skirts etc but still be fundamentally male I have on several occasion walked into my local town and done my shopping in a black knee length skirt with black opaque tights and trainer without any issue, a few people staring but nothing said in my hearing so it's been a positive start.
I am looking to take this further by not having a feminine style or a masculine one I would not rule any individual item of clothing in or out it all now about style and can I make the look work based around skirts and been a man.
Can I we will see!

Welcome Pauly to the cafe. I see you have the excellent hobby of model railways. So along with the skirts, we also have threads on other topics, such as model railways... http://www.skirtcafe.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=24914

Hi Pauly,
Welcome & I see you're a model rail nutter. No bad thing. My next milestone will be 84 & I'd love to have your next 20 enjoyable years ahead of me, but I don't, alas.
