Impressive. Nicely made costume kilts, which would be fine to wear normally. Wish I were 60-65 years younger!

If that look appeals go for it. a skirt by any other name, why not?
Probably pricy I'd imagine and certainly not to my taste.

If you mean placing the post, I thought about it quite a bit, but reckoned that the "Kilts" section of this board is principally concerned with discussion of traditional and utility kilts, whereas this thread is labelled "skirts and kilts for men", and relates to Fashion rather than everyday wear; so it seemed appropriate.

Too, what the ancient Egyptians wore were not "kilts" in the true sense as (1) they would have been made of linen, and not of wool and (2) would have been vastly lighter than Scots kilts due to the comparative temperatures of the climates. Thus, it's entirely incorrect to conflate them with Kilts.

Which is probably the best fit becaue the outfits are not kilts but even so Kilts are skirts as well.

Let's just agree that the dancers' "costumes" were very nice and leave it at that.

Faldaguy, the world would be a much easier place if everyone took such a stance.

I expect there would be even more comments as the dancers were topfree. The sexist attitude toward women following men's style here is stronger than the sexist attitude toward men in skirts.

I thought someone would pick up on that, thanks Jim.
However, this is classical ballet and not some strange burlesque.
Bear in mind too that the dance is highly athletic and bare breasts of any size could have been most uncomfortable and I am sure those guys' assets were also well supported.
That is common sense not sexist!
Like I said great costumery, choreography and not anything to get excited over in terms of men in skirts.
