"Not secure" message from iPad re SkirtCafe

Post by FranTastic444 »

No problem on my desktop, but lately when I've been logging on to SkirtCafe from my iPad, I've been getting a "not secure" message from Safari. It won't let me use stored credentials on this site as a result.

Anyone else seeing this? Anything that I can do about it on my side? Some cookie purging, maybe?

Make sure that Safari is actually using the "https" access protocol. View the certificate and note the expiry date on it. It should be 2025-04-07 (as of this writing) and was issued by "Let's Encrypt".

The certificate auto-renews, and I monitor its currency on a periodic basis from home so I know when it's getting set to expire.

That's likely what it is. Something just kicked it into using the insecure non-encrypted protocol. Kick it back, and you should be fine.

Nothing of any real threat happens here anyway, so there's not all that much to worry about in transmitting "in the clear", and if the encryption actually kept the NSA/CIA/&c out it'd be illegal to use.
